I like the leather and lace theme.
especially if its possible to make lingerie, since that was the first thing that came into mind when seeing "Leather and Lace"

i like the bollywood theme the best, i already have a couple ideas floting around my head haha

Leather and Lace for sure. I love saris but I think I have spent enough time around them because of my family to be sick of them.

leather and lace for me!
and I like that you added this "copy and paste" form, I think we always should do that, everything gets much more intresting when you get "inside" the idea!

Thanks guys! 3 for leather and lace and two for Reformed bollywood. I would like to let you guys choose but then it would make judging harder and a bit unfair since everyone wouldnt be equal. I promise if I ever win again, I will do the reformed bollywood theme for those who wanted that one. Or even if someone who wins this round really likes it, they can use it for their choice, I dont mind. It was also my fave too, but leather and lace is just as fun. So Leather and Lace it is!! I will be adding a hand-drawn example for you guys this afternoon. Have fun! I hope more will join this time.

its okay to make lingerie right ?
although i may not use lingerie, something is brewing in my head i just cant picture it 100% yet.

i just want to be safe in case thats what comes out on paper.

im getting so excited.
i havent participated in so long ! :woot:

I would love to try, but I have no training or real experience in sketching, just ideas in my head. I really wish I'd have taken some kind of lessons, but I've always been more of an appreciator of the work of others rather than a designer on my own.

All of you are so talented. It's very inspiring.

you can participate its just a game!;) and with this you can practice and be better, here it doesnt matter how you draw, just how good the idea is!;) so c'mon dont be shy and make it haha

Leather and Lace

What have you made(Gown, swimsuit, etc.): Lingerie

Inspiration?(Optional): a song called "Stripper" by Sohodolls, (its in a Gossip Girl episode called Victor Victrola, which is a burlesque club)

Style(Edgy, classic, etc): Sexy and sultry ?

Would you wear it?(If not, than who would you see this on?): With the right guy and body possibly ;)

What have you made: A sort of jumpsuit with leather hot shorts, thigh high leather boots, and a part leather top. The torso part of the top is done in lace
Inspiration?(Optional): The top has some slight inspiration from a style of bodice from the 1780's
Style(Edgy, classic, etc): Powerful
Would you wear it?(If not, than who would you see this on?): lol Yes I suppose I would wear it, but I'm not quite sure where to

So Leather and Lace is pretty much out of my crayola 96 box league because I would be able to accurately convey the textures, but I did create something for Reformed Bollywood if it should ever come up. My design turned out better than expected, except for a few things I wish I had done better.

The entries look amazing, you guys. ;)

A really quick example. I dont like either one of them. One is a lace and leather bandage dress, the other is just a frilly lace top with leather bands and leggings.

Also, I am not good at doing lace detailing either, so that will not subtract from your work.

What have you made: Leather&Lace lingerie.Leather and lace corset + classic lace briefs.
Inspiration?(Optional): Cabaret, Moulin Rouge.
Style(Edgy, classic, etc): Provocateur.
Would you wear it?(If not, than who would you see this on?): Well, not now, but maybe in the future.

So here is mine, I hope you like It ^^

WOW what awesome entries. I finally got around to drawing something up. I was in a big rush but i got it done. I really wanted to start participating in the challenges again! Im rusty so please forgive. :flower:

What have you made: An evening dress! I began with a light cotton tank embroidered with a lace design/overlay. The bust is made of a leather in a belt like fashion which accentuates a woman's waist. the skirt part of the dress is a pencil silhouette with a lace overlay and detail closer to the hem. Shoes are patent leather.
Inspiration?(Optional): I wanted to explore the softer, less provacative side of leather and lace. Why not make a coctail dress out of the two?
Style(Edgy, classic, etc): The more classy side of leather. This look is also appropriate for women of different agaes and sizes which is always a plus, right ladies. :)
Would you wear it? Yes
