I missed it! Sorry. My work hasn't been good to me lately. *dies* I just checked the theme and I remember that I did this drawing of the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland:




my brain is kinda fuzzy to remember why I did this "costume" for the caterpillar. Lol. I'll try to remember.

Hello everyone, sorry for not posting sooner. I've not been near a computer with an internet connection in weeks (due to me moving), so a belated thank you for the win! It's a shame that no one else entered, I was looking forward to a challenge and some wonderful ideas and sketches. Ah well. Next time, hopefully!

So, my challenge to all of you is... design an outfit that is inspired by your favourite song or piece of music. You can be inspired by the lyrics or just by how the song makes you feel. I'll set the deadline for the 12th of August (the sunday). If that's not long enough (I know how busy people can be), let me know and we can add a week.

If I cannot get online on that day itself, please bear with me, as I said before, I am at a loss for internet at the moment.

I'm not really familiar with famous literature, but this one was made into a movie, so maybe people know it. The story's called Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen. It's about two sisters, Marianne and Eleanor...
Here is Eleanor

Her character is seen as kind of cold and closed in the beginning, but also logical and she's known to 'think before acting'. Near the end of the story, her character blurs a bit and she becomes more like her sister, the emotional and extroverted type. So I tried to play with strictness and looseness in this design.
It's strict at the top... basically part of a trench coat like in the military, but the sleeves become loose and are made of silk gauze. Her empire waist pencil skirt also blooms out into softer ruffles and things...
