First trend that caught my eye on the S/S 06 NY runways. And to be honest, I am already quite tired of it now, but who knows, that might change :P

Didn't we just do this trend?? Definately not in the mood to see this for another season...

hmm.. how exactly do tiered skirts and dresses flatter someone? just out of curiosity...

imo--they're nice, definitely the romantic version of a "flapper dress"
they def. look better as a skirt or short dress.. the longer tiered versions are a little drowning.

The only ones I can stand are the Badgley Mischka (without the cardigan) and the last marc by marc jacobs.

Really not liking this "trend"... ..with the wrong fabrics/cuts, it can look awfully cheap and tacky....

very sick of this.

the dress on sasha (marc jacobs ss 06) looks like a bad take on anne valerie hash's. :innocent:

As a fashion-newbie I try to delay judgement but It seems like I just HATE tiered dresses/skirts (long or short). I hope this is not going to be too huge, I really don't want to see more of it (there's already all those tiered flouncy minis I hate everywhere).

PS every long dress shown above reminds me of either a fish or a wedding cake.

I'm so sick of pretty, ruffley, tiered, sweetness......make this girly crap stop already, I can't take it anymore.

good eye MrDale ;)
personally i dont like this trend myself, but yes, its there at NY catwalks and thanks goodness, NY catwalks are not the barometer of fashion trends ..

just praying it wont really 'make it' as a major influence for the mass market
