Okay, so it is not exactly Dolce & Gabbana, but I did get some excellent tights at Target this past summer, for fall/winter use.
Two pair of sweater tights, one pair being plaid (brown with red and black) and the other pair are striped, dark brown, tan, grey, red, and black. Then I got three pair of fishnets (tiny, normal, and giant nets) plus a pair that look like spiderwebs and are really awesome over plain, colored tights; I typically wear them over red tights.
I got some heather-grey microfibre opaque tights, and a pair that are grey and black in a herringbone pattern. I got some brown/black ones in the herringbone pattern, too, as well as regulation coffee-brown and black opaque tights.
I have a couple of pair of Kenneth Cole sweater tights that I bought like 6-7 years ago that are still going strong, so if KC is still offering tights, I would recommend them highly. Quality.
A lot of times you can find cool stuff in the artsy/hippie districts of your city, so in Kansas City, the only place to go for cool stuff is the Westport area, though there is a cool shop that sells tights, stockings, and socks further south in Prairie Village. When I was living in York (York, N. Yorks, UK, not New York, NY) I bought some great brown/rust/black plaid tights in Boyes (akin to Dollar General) and some truly excellent argyle and zig-zag pattern psychedellic style tights (a lot like the bizarro D&G ones, actually) in this little gothy/punky/hippie shop on High Petergate.
