I've eased up a little on Bermuda shorts. I sometimes hate styles, only to ease up on them after a while. The super-skinny deal is so played out to me. I've always thought of Bermuda shorts as capris with an identity crisis. "Am I shorts? Or am I capris? Since I'm neither, I'll just rest above the knees." However, some of the ones with a bit wider legs are Bermudas I don't mind.
How about this for a little news? I've eased up a bit on high-waisted shorts as well. I sometimes visit various online clothing retailers to get an idea as to what kinds of feminine fashions are hot. One of those are the craze of high-waisted bottoms. I'm not really feeling high-waist shorts that much, but a few I've seen offered by Wet Seal were pretty cute. Few high-waist jean-like shorts are some I like. The "it" shorts in my view have been those cuffed short-shorts. More important to me, those that are trouser-like in design. What I consider as a key element to nice or ugly high-waist bottoms is what happens when you introduce a higher waist to a regular pair of shorts. A pair of shorts can be cute, but can they retain their cuteness when you add a few more high buttons and raise up the waist? The button design as well as the overall flow of any high-waisted bottoms have been my deterrent to them. Some look poorly designed and overall ugly (defend all you want). So for a while, I've gotten adjusted to high-waist bottoms a bit, especially high-waist shorts.
So two trends I'm starting to like based solely on easing up on bashing them. High-waist shorts and (some) Bermuda shorts are two trends I've eased up on. They join leggings under skirts (among others) as some other past trends I've viciously hated but eventually eased up on them.
Oh, add one more that I've somewhat gotten over- oversized/retro sunglasses! I still don't get oversized glasses, but I'm starting to admit oversized/retro sunglasses can be cute.
