Trends You Are Sick Of #2

Girls wearing leggings as pants. If you want something form fitting, wear skinny jeans.
Harem pants. Unless you are walking the dog or going to the grocery store real quick, you should not be wearing these out.
Too much tanning. Whether it's from the tanning bed or laying out in the sun, you need to learn to limit yourself. If you want to tan, do it smart and make sure to always use a sunscreen of spf 15. The sun is the number one cause of pre-mature aging. I've seen girls around my age of 22, look like they are in their 30's or 40s. When they hit 40, they are going to have the skin of a baseball mitt.
Too much self tanner. If you use so much that you resemble the cast of Jersey shore or look like an oompa loompa, time to cut back a little.

Hahaha so many girls in London looks like oompa loompas (in fact it's not just the girls, it's blokes also - how scary) so I totally agree with CaitlinC. Also, yes leggings are for UNDER long tops/dresses, they are NOT for wearing in their own right because they look like old men's long johns.

Other than that, I'm fairly open minded about fashion at the moment.

The leggings thing is embarassing. I can see girls underwear and its not sexy, just trashy.

Being able to see girls underwear all the time... going up a staircase in the library at 9 a.m!!! On the bus, in class, in the pub... just fully dress yourself! I guess it ties in a bit with the showy cleavage idea.
And short skirts and ripped tights.. you just look like a skank.

Aaaah, it feels better to get that off my chest! ^_^

Longchamp's le Pliage Bag.
It's just worn way by way too many girls here in Austria..like a real uniform.
Same in France, TOO many girls are wearing them, I think even the bag itself must be screaming " Please, don't buy me! "

Totally agree about the Longchamp bags and the leggings trend!! :yuk:

And I am also slowly but surely getting tired of the marine look with the striped sweaters because everyone's wearing them. And I'm scared already of people starting to wear clogs because I'm seeing them in blogs and magazines all the time and find them really ugly...

And I am also getting sick of this uniform look: caramel colored boots, dark blue skinnies, black coat and a Burberry scarf (+ the above mentioned Le Pliage bag). It's just so unoriginal.

crap quality shoes from UO paired w/ super tight BDG skinny jeans and UO pleather jackets. i thought this was over 2-3 years ago. oh well. :/ :P

I love the vintage glasses look, I wear a few pairs myself.
But I can't stand the cheap plastic-y frames that they are selling in all high street stores- which everyone seems to wear who want to appear 'in trend'.
The clear plastic lenses that are installed in these look awful too.

Just invest in some decent vintage/ modern-vintage styled frames if you like the look.

P.s DON'T get me started on those kids who think it's cool to pop out the lenses from their 3D glasses and wear them as an alternative.

1. Wearing leggings with a skirt or shorts... (it's not quite a trend, but too many girls wear it!)
2. Geek glasses...

Geek glasses - i second that emotion

tie dye leggings - although other tie dye i am oddly ok with

tory burch ballet flats - i mean you would be surprised how often i see these still on certain women

Belts over everything. Belts under the b00bs. Belting belts over belts. Belts must be the new summer scarves (at least in America).

The belt trend didn't arrive in Germany... yet.

But recently everyone over here started wearing denim jackets, since H&M advertises with them. They just look ridiculous. They worst thing is, that most of the people pair it jeans.

But Daria can sell everything:heart:

In principle I don't get it if people try to adapt to a "trend" if they aren't physically build for it

- with leggings it is quite obvious
- other thing that I personally hate are ballerinas!

they are ok if you:
a) have to wear them for work
b) you aren't older then 16
c) you belong to a certain subculture that requires it as a dress code (Emos)

In all other cases it can rather easily look really ridiculous imho, especially the more feminine you look & dress.

I am also sick of seeing Geek glasses on people who do not even need to wear glasses.

-"Faux boots" or whatever they call them. The sandals that are actually boots? I don't absolutely despide them, but I don't get the appeal.
-Coach purses. They all look the same: boring. Especially when girls decide that it's okay to wear them with a pair of pajama pants/sweatpant pants hybrids.
-Looking orange. Just because Victoria Beckham does it doesn't make okay in any way.

Anything Juicy Couture, Coach or Guess.
Surfing brands like Quiksilver, Billabong and Roxy.
Loser brands like Abercrombie & Fitch, General Issue, Hollister and Banana Republic. They're so generic and easily imitated by my mother.

Flat boots, wedged boots or multicoloured boots. wtf.
Anything pink.
Balloon pants.
Ugg boots (why are people still wearing them?)

Leggings..... is there ACTUALLY an appeal to them? At all? i asked my friends why they wear them and it's either "It's too cold" or "I don't want to show my legs". I'm SURE there are more chic alternatives.

Acid jeans. NOT cool. Trashy. TRASHY! It's not the 1990s anymore!

Fanny packs. What could be possibly be so important that you have to have it right on your genitals?!

Denim skirts. Long or short, they ALL look hideous.
Anything with checkers/squares/criss cross prints. They look so....farmer.
Hair extensions. No matter how good they look, you're still fake.

White pants! GRRRRR! They look whorey on girls and homeless on guys.

The Nerd trend.
The thick rimmed glasses, geeky cardigans (shudder), skin tight pants, coloured suspenders ( :yuk: :yuk: :yuk: :yuk:) and SEVERE comb-over. W.T.F.!!!!
