I don't mind a little bit of it, but the amount on the F/W 2013 runways is obscene. It's not just "full" fur coats either; there is trim on nearly everything. It is everywhere!

I usually don't have an issue with fur, but the runways are rife with it this year. It's insane. Fur gloves, fur coats, fur dresses, fur hotpants....it's a bit excessive.

Really long, pointy, painted finger nails {ala Rihanna, Fergie, et al} on ordinary, non-celebrity people. I just can't.

Why is it aesthetically acceptable on celebs?

most things chanel (fashion-wise, because the makeup is quite good)
frayed denim shorts
leather sleeved army jackets
high low skirts
cross prints, skull prints
sweaters with animal faces... tigers, polar bears, cats. i love animals but this is so unoriginal.
fur vests worn with skinny black leather pants

I wouldn't say it's aesthetically pleasing on anyone. However, if it's part of some kind of stage/performance costume, I am willing to turn a blind eye.

I see, when you said that, I immedeately tought about celebs in real life having those nails and couldnt grasp why that would be any different, but I guess if its a stage coustume it can be viewed a bit differetly....

I saw some students doing a "fashion shoot" yesterday, and the "model" was wearing JCampbell Lita boots. I hope they were being ironic.

Xiumiu: I think it will be a sad day when people no longer want to wear vintage clothes (clothes that are 30+ years old). Such a waste when you consider how long a garment can last.

And I think the idea of vintage being original sounds a bit like a paradox
