We suffer the same epidemic here as well. Fortunately enough it is at straight clubs/bars. We still have problems at gay bars with guys wearing pastel colored polos and poping the collar.

Snap, etro! I too just CANNOT stand that look - they look like such prats!

Without a moment of hesitation: Baggy, low-crotch, MC Hammer Pants. Although, according to some on tFS, these pants are back in style.

OH MY GODDDD, that picture made me spit apple juice everywhere laughing. Having just missed out on the eighties I can't say I've ever seen those before ... hahahaha.

I had a Juicy Couture purse once. Emphasis on the once. When I was fourteen. After less than a month I realized how fug it really was and gave it away to this fashion victim chick who copied everything I wore, and I swear she died and went to heaven she was so happy. I'm much happier with my Chloe now anyway ...

not a trend i have ever tried...but it hacked me off alot at college today

HOW CAN PEOPLE THINK THAT THEY LOOK GOOD IN A TRACKSUIT?????????
they look like theyre wearing pajamas, for gods sake!

Tracksuits do look like pajamas but they are damn comfortable and the cut is flattering to certain body types (like mine).

one of these sinful trends I used to try were baggy clothes. Baggy jeans, extra large t-shirts. You know, like a hip-hop star. :P Oh, one more thing. When I was 11-12 years old I used to swim in large swimming pants (my Mom bought them for my Dad) and one of these giant t-shirt. Well, it's sounds crazy but it's true. :D

The whole wrist-band thing....ewwww....I find it funny how the 80's always finds it's way back it to play some how. It's like herpee's it can go away but it's always comes back!!!!

My "punk" phase in high school - dickies, chucks and band shirts (even though chucks are still awesome!)
Bubble bangs in eighth grade (the more hairspray the better!)
Rocket Dogs in early college

I think the last two were more local trends rather than widespread ones.

Emo look.
This was last year were I thought emo kids were SOOOO cool. hahahaha. Pathetic of me.

i no what you mean! loads of people at school are just starting the emo look, they try so hard, its sooooo bad

OMG i hate the 'emo' look, all the guys are followin it in our school, they look bad/wannabe/gay. Thankfully BOHO is over, I hated it! I don't think I've ever followed a 'trend', in fact I really hate trends/things that everyone else has, including iPods and everything. The only thing I do like are skinny jeans :) But I guess size 4 isn't good enough?? As they 'curve' you out...well anyway, I also like ballet flats, I think they're really cute, and they come in a variety for everyone.

OMG!! Come to Sydney, and you will come across some of the most lamest tryhard 'emo' kids ever! Let me try and paint a picture for you:
Large contingents of 13-16 yr olds all dress in black, including their black skinny jeans with their chuck taylors, beads and tyed ribbon (referring to girls) in their spiked up, unwashed, black and blonde low-light hair. The boys walk around with their skinnies hanging half way down their ****, thinking they look so 'emo' with their unkept, long fringed hair trying to pretend they don't really care what they look like, even though they make sure that their fringe is precisely covering one eye. They all take up smoking coz having a lit cigarette in your hand makes you "way cool and totally emo".Their outfit is not an 'emo' outfit unless they're wearing a music shirt showing their complete and utter dedication to some band i.e. The Used ,Simple Plan, Green Day are among the favourites. Along with the band tee, they carry around either a skateboard, an I-pod that is blasting the latest band obsession e.g Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance, certain facial body piercings or a mix of the three. The one thing that stays constant, would probaby be the "I-hate-the-world-and-the-world-hates-me' attitude. It can be really lame and cringeworthy but oh well, I guess that they're 'emo' and no matter how I hard to try to convince myself that this is just a phase, to them, it's a state of mind and ultimately trendy.
I just personally don't think that sumone should spend their pocket money on a $50 Ramones band T-shirt just because everyone else is doing it. It should be abt the music, not just the trend. In saying this, not every single person I see wearing a whole outfit in black means that they're tryhards, it's just you can really tell which ones have fallen victim to the trend and who haven't, well IMO anywayz....sorry 4 the big rant, but I had to vent out my frustration...:p
