Trends you regret trying

getting a perm... oh dear god, definitiely... i looked like sh!t for most part, fashion wise I remember buying these Puma shoes in like 8th grade when everyone and their mom's where wearing them, I secretly hated them but I sooo wanted to fit it at the time, lol. eventually I gave up on trying so hard and my mom got them

I was going to say that despite being a teenager in the 80s and a college student in the 90s, I regret nothing -- nothing!!

Then I remembered a student ID I had taken in say, '91, '92? OY. I was into my "I *heart* Chanel for the very first time" phase, and so, very pale me had pulled my hair back painfully tightly and secured it with a black bow barrette, worn brilliant red lipstick, black eye makeup, fake eyelashes (at ten a.m., people) and a black turtleneck sweater.

I still don't regret the spiral perm or acid-washed jeans though. *sigh* Those were the days, my friend.

In elementary school, I had those curled, teased, and sprayed bangs ... and wore those bike shorts in the summertime! Lots of fluorescents, too. Yikes!

Oh gosh, my perm was sooo bad. Total afro look. Glad it grew out fast. It looked like a bird's nest! Man, I could've held at least 5 birds in my hair.

it was just one season...the newest trend here in belgium is wearing this really cheap ridiculous t-shirts from bikkembergs with a huge logo on it. almost every teenager has one! it's really sickning

its just so..."look at me, i'm wearing bikkemberg"

me too  I knew Bikkemberg before all the kids in my school wore it & suddenly all these boys & girls wore his shoes:doh: because it was the new "trend"

I have worn a Von Dutch T-shirt once that I borrowed from my niece and I still regret it ...

Flourescent socks
penny loafers
stirr up pants
big huge sweaters (I do still like these...)
sky high bangs/fringe
platform jelly shoes
big bell bottom jeans
baby tees w/ logos on them
skorts (the shorts with the skirt wrap)
giant headbands the stretchy kind

When I was 13- baggy pants, really short t-shirts in neon colours, showing my belly button and hair in cornrows I thought i was so hooot ...:sick:Need i say more?
Fortunately, no Spice Girls shoes for me- I hated everything related to them:lol:

Handbags, Accesories, Etc.
What trends did you follow, in which you live to regret?
I have a problem, when I like something I buy one in every color, then I don't know what to do when the trend is over.

The whole 'Von Dutch' thing my Junior year of High school. I cant believe I actually went to my best friend's house party in this :o: (oh and a white Von Dutch tank top too)
I still cringe when I think about it, but back in HS I was all about trying to fit in so I followed pretty much every trend I could and racked up an insanely high Credit card bill....which I'm just paying off now. LoL
