I remember I also had a Burberry mini and his hideous Longchamp granny style (and not in a good way) shopping bag. (They were very popular here!) and loafers of course. It was all the rage, and I thought I looked so much like an adult. Ah, eight grade.

Sometimes in the nineties I also had these nasty platforms and my best friend had the exact same ones. How pityful. Well, my now best friend had white ones with what looked like a little tadpole (read: sperm). Hmmm. What was her mother thinking!

And yes, of course the mandatory angst, all black, phase. I was before my time with my messed up hair and black makeup tho.

It's all coming back to me now...

Going pseudo-punk in 9th grade. One outfit that particularly stands out for me in terms of sheer WTF was I thinking- a green t-shirt which matched my green short spikey hair, blue basketball shorts over fishnet stockings, and doc martens. How did my parents let me out of the house like that? Wait, they didn't- I changed in the bathroom before my first class!

I can't say I've really fell into any trend. If I bought/wore anything it was right at the start of the trend; but, I quickly stopped. I guess also for a guy there aren't as many trends to follow.

I owned one Von Dutch hat that I think I wore twice.
I've never owned a LiveStrong bracelet.
I've never worn a stripped shirt untucked with jeans and cheap square toed shoes (a la the frat boy "nicely" dressed looked).
I bought one of the Prada robots/"tricks"; but, I still think he is cute and hands from one of my bookends.
I really don't follow men's trends so I am not sure what else is out there.

Actually I dont regret anything ... I learn from it .. nowadays .. I feel the slighest uncomfortable wearing something ... I dont ...

It doesnt mean I havent done mistakes ... but the ones that are done because of "peer pressure" or "trying to fit in" are th worst imho

it hurts me to say it, but in britain that look is not so much a trend as an institution. anywhere in britain if you go to town at night, you will see hordes of commoners dressed like this. no wonder i always drink so much when i'm out

I must admit I am a sucker for certain trends, if it is something that appeals to me, like the whole juicy thing. I can't help liking something that looks girly and is made of comfy fabric at the same time...however...my confession is wearing too many of them all at once.

I remember over a year ago going into Neiman's wearing a bright pink juicy terry dress with a yellow terry hoodie over it, a matching bright pink juicy bag, and a gold juicy bracelet. I might have worn the juicy knee high tube socks too. Anyway, I was buying something (you guessed it, juicy) and the SA asked me if I was some kind of juicy obsessed freak. That was when I realized my major fashion faux paus.

I'm gonna admit (and you all may hate it) that I still like my juicy but these days I try to pair one standout piece with other low key designer pieces. I also realized that it is okay not to wear the same designer head to toe

We suffer the same epidemic here as well. Fortunately enough it is at straight clubs/bars. We still have problems at gay bars with guys wearing pastel colored polos and poping the collar.

I graduated high school in 1990--so soon to be splashed with shaved heads a la Sinead O'Connor and grunge. Yes, flowery frocks, combat boots, and a peach-fuzz head. I don't regret a thing however. I looked smashing bald.
