I see a trend with men tucking their shirts in at the front. It's clearly meant to show of the design of the belt.

here is an other photo:heart::heart:

its from Paris Fashion Week
He has the Hermes belt on.

If I tried this back in my grade school days (we had uniforms), I'd more than likely get punished or told to tuck it in. I don't like this look. It probably helps if you're just trying to show off your belt buckle with this look, but other than this, it's a fail waiting to happen.

i actually really like this look especially on men. although only on certain types of men sometimes it can look a bit... tacky and sloppy

I like this but it has to be done well. It needs to look effortless.

I do this myself as well (I'm female) with loose tshirts or shirts, tucked into jeans (ie loose white boyfriend style shirt tucked casually into fitted jeans, boots and belted) or into waisted skirts, etc.

I think it's been happening for a while, especially with guys.

I really do like it at the guy in post #4!
But I think I would like anything on him! Haha.

oh I do that all the time now - I also try tucking the whole shirt in and raise my arms and whatever comes out i leave out and whatever is left in, i leave in...I really like the way it looks

I have done this myself (I'm female). I also do what the person above me does with the whole shirt and then lifting up my arms. It's become kind of a habit thing now.

I do this from time to time with loose tops (usually a simple tee), tucked into a straight leg jean and add a belt. Something you'd have to be careful about without it looking too sloppy, but I love how you can feature the belt and sort has an effortless feel to it.

Of the female type...

I think this looks really sexy on certain men and it looks good on some girls too. I agree with ElleLesley that it can look messy or too sloppy if your not careful. Plus, you want too look effortless and not like your trying too hard.

FYI: The girl in post #11 is wearing a Charles Anastase coat.

embrace, please credit the image for us and read the rules of the thread.

It's from The Sartorialist. :flower:

I like this trend, but it never works for me. When I was little Kristy, the boss of the Baby Sitters Club from 'The Baby Sitters Club Movie' did it. I wanted to be just like her.

i agree, one in 3 guys in here does it, its been for a while. i kinda like it,but when it looks too neat it looses the appeal

I'm sorry for not crediting the picture source. I'm relatively new here. In my enthusiasm I hastily forgot to read the rules for this thread. The image is indeed from the sartorialist, thanks there Papa Levante!

there I go again...:innocent:

personally I tend to tuck only shirts front in. I just do it, so it comes effortlesly from me.
My inspiration must have been Ashley Olsen (MK does it sometimes too...or at least have done it. Ashley more)

The second picture in post #17 is perfection! So chic and masculine at the same time. As for this particular trend, I love how it could ease an outfit yet still keep the proper look as a whole. It's really much the attitude of the wearer if they could make this trend work or not though. Very models street wear style.
