Twilight

OH MAN im scared

Shocktillyoudrop.com is a pretty reliable site that is updated continuously but they just wouldnt announce a random side character for a movie such as this unless hes pretty famous and i havent heard of this guy before.

the only person i can think of is Jacob??? or someone from the wolf pack. But to announce them this early? and for it to be him???? I hope they fill us in soon who this guys is. And if hes Jacob i will boycott.

***UPDATE*** word is that Ben, angelas Bf, is asian - go figure - how anyone would remember that amazes me but then i only read the books once. Although its unconfirmed as of now hes "Ben Cheney" why they announced him now boggles me

^ He doesn't even have a big part in the books, is he even in Twilight? He comes in later, right?

Urgh, I just want to know the whole cast- Alice, Jasper, Emmett...all of them! When are they shooting anyway? At this rate, we'll be waiting a looong time for the movie to be released.

Also, I was thinking, Robert Pattinson is what, 21 now? So, if they make the other movies, he'll be like 25-26. He's such a downgrade for the part Edward:doh:

i know how you feel its like the harry potter films they are suppose to be 14 but look 18-19. I hope he just surprises us all and does an outstanding job just for the sake of the series.

Maybe they will just film back2back2back since the first is set to be released this dec2008 kinda like they did for lord of the rings and just released them yrs apart :/

YES SO MORE NEWS!!!!

Anna Kendrick is Jessica Stanley > i think she fits the part well

Justin Chon is actually Eric Yorkie and not Ben

That girl is quite fitting as Jessica but I don't see that other boy as Eric- but it's not like Eric has a huge part anyway unless they make him a bigger character?

I agree Anna is really fitting as Jessica, but I can't really imagine Justin as Eric. But then again... I don't really like Eric anyway and that boy is certainly not making me like him any more. It's not like he has a big role, at least I hope they won't make him have one.

Twilight Lexicon is saying that Cam Gigandet has been cast as James.

On February 7, 2008, it was announced by MTV movies that Anna Kendrick has been cast as Jessica Stanley and Justin Chon as Eric Yorkie, both classmates of Bella and Edward.

On February 8, 2008, it was mentioned in an article on The Hollywood Reporter's website that Cam Gigandet, famous for playing Kevin Volchok on The OC, has been cast as James, the story's main villain.

I only know Cam from his O.C. days, but I can actually picture him as James. For some reason I always assumed James had dark hair, though. :innocent:

I believe I read on ONTD - I'm trying to find the article - that he has been cast as Eric!
'Twilight' Gives The Green Light To Anna Kendrick, Justin Chon For Book-Turned-Movie

'Messengers' actress Kristen Stewart also set to star in flick based on popular vampire series.
By Larry Carroll

LOS ANGELES — In the past few years, some would-be fantasy franchises have soared higher than Harry Potter at a Quidditch game, while others ("Eragon" and "The Golden Compass," for instance) have died as brutally as Gollum at Mount Doom. Now, two more actors have joined what is shaping up to be a beloved, bloodsucking blockbuster — with hopes that "Twilight" marks the start of a brand-new day.

"Rocket Science" actress Anna Kendrick and "Just Jordan" star Justin Chon are the latest additions to the soon-to-shoot vampire flick, joining Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison (a.k.a. Cedric Diggory in the "Potter" series). Based on the #1 best-selling series by Stephenie Meyer, the flick begins shooting in Washington at the end of this month with "Thirteen" filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke at the helm, and is intended to launch a series containing at least three films.

The 23-year-old Kendrick will be playing the pivotal role of Jessica Stanley, a classmate to Stewart's main character, Bella. Jessica — best friend to the teen who opens the film by reuniting with her estranged father in Forks, Washington — is a chatterbox who helps Bella adjust to her new school, but eventually has a falling out with her over the affections of heartthrob Mike Newton. She makes appearances not only in "Twilight," but also the sequels "New Moon" and "Eclipse."

Chon, meanwhile, has been cast as Eric Yorkie, a key member of Bella's high school posse. Described in the books as a 6-foot-3 student with greasy hair and a poor complexion, he is one of the first students to befriend Bella at her new school and eventually asks her to the dance. An admitted geek, he claims to have a girlfriend of his own, but is undoubtedly jealous when Bella falls hard for Edward Cullen (Pattison), a sexy student later revealed to be a 100-year-old vampire.

"A girl moves into a small town, and she's different from everyone there," Stewart told MTV News recently while preparing for the role of Bella. "People like her, oddly enough, and she has no idea why. Then she falls in love with a vampire. What I like about it is that the characters are really unique."

First published in 2005, the novel "Twilight" has since been followed by "New Moon" in 2006 and "Eclipse" in 2007. Equal parts horror, romance and fantasy, series author Meyer announced this week that the fourth book, "Breaking Dawn," will be released August 2. The fifth and most likely final book, titled "Midnight Sun," is expected soon afterward and will serve as a companion piece to "Twilight," as told by Edward rather than Bella.

"It's a vampire movie. It's a love story. It's based on a book that's really popular with young adults and high school kids, and it's supposed to have a huge following," Stewart said of the series, which has proved very popular on the MTV Movies Blog. "I don't want to say it's targeted towards kids, because really anybody could see it.

"I don't want to make movies for kids, and I don't want to make movies for adults either," Stewart continued, adding that she hopes the vampire series will walk a fine line much like "Potter" or "Lord of the Rings" before it. "['Twilight'] deals with the universe, and what life is about. ... You can make that cliché and bullsh-- and make it with everything being on the surface, [or] in this case make it a pretty triumphant love story."
