for me out of all the young petite actresses out there, emily browning would definitely be best for the role of bella! she can act and she has the american accent down, plus she's super cute and looks lovely paired against gaspard(aka the ONLY edward).

he is the ONLY edward..
i wont accept anyone else.

and im starting to think of her as a bella..

but, what do you mean she has her american accent down ?

when she was in a series of unfortunate events she did an american accent and covered up her australian one really well :-) at least i'm pretty sure...shoot me if i'm wrong

hahaha that just goes to show how well she could pull off being american ^_^ and i'd much rather see her on screen kissing gaspard than someone like danielle panabaker

I think a good theme/credits song for the movie would be "Twilight" by The Weepies

The lyrics are:

you look darkly on the day
with memories to light your way
a little sad but it's alright
we are always living in twilight

no one knocks upon your door
until you don't care anymore
a little alone but it's alright
we are always living in twilight

living in a dream, walking in between the sunrise and sunset
living in a dream, walking in between sunset and sunrise

you get tied up in your day, so i let go and walk away
and now we're loose ends of the night
we are always living in twilight

so it goes, though no one knows you like they used to do
have a drink the sky is sinking toward a deeper blue
and you're still alright
step out into twilight

so i stumble home at night
like i've stumbled through my life
with ghosts and visions in my sight
we are always living in twilight

I want to punch anyone who doesn't agree that Gaspard = Edward.:ninja:

Wake up people and open those eyes.

Ellen Page is my pick to play Bella. She has that girl-next-door look; I think Bella's sorta plain, but that's her charm too. Emily Browning has this...frigid look to her - maybe it's because I've only seen her in A Series of Unfortunate Events. Plus Emily's too striking and "beautiful" - not girl-next-door at all.

HOWEVER, perhaps it's the influence of fandom and seeing all the Gaspard/Emily manips and icons - and I think Gaspard & Emily look great together. Steph, even though she has no say in the casting, has said that Emily's her top pick. But that Gaspard is too old. Okay, he doesn't look 17, which is Edward's "real" age, but he's the closest known actor that fits Edward. Because she can't see anyone over 20 playing Edward, Tom Sturridge is her pick. He's...cute. But not dangerous looking like Gaspard is, with the angles in Gaspard's face. Henry Cavill was Steph's original choice, if he wasn't too old - but I personally never saw Cavill as Edward. Henry could be Carlisle though.

Rachel Leigh Cook is sooooo Alice! Again though, maybe too old. And Trent Ford as Jasper, oh yeah.

Steven Strait IS Jacob Black. But Steph says Steven's a New Moon Jacob right now, so he'd old by the time they make New Moon into a movie. HURRRRRRY UP already, before they all get too old. :(

Haha, I would not want to be the webmaster of the Twilight Lexicon site (yes, it's a he!). He actually had to put a disclaimer that no, he is not hiding any movie information.

^Ms. Meyer has bad taste where Edward is concerned.

Henry Cavill doesn't even LOOK inhuman. He looks like Johnathan Rhys-Meyer.

Tom Sturridge isn't bad, but he still looks human.
