Twilight

I think the horror movie was called "Dead End"? Something like that, I don't really remember either.

The movie Bella watches with Jessica is called "Dead End". The one she watches with Jacob and Mike is called "Crosshairs"...
Yeah, I just had to look it up :doh::lol:

^:lol:You had to look it up? I would have look it up too but I moved and don't have my books with me but I kind of remember the movie being called "Dead End", kind of guessing too.:)

*****SPOILER WARNING!!******

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has been doing her own stunts all night on the back of a motorcycle from various angles. These special effects look pretty cool for New Moon. However, in the book, Bella only rides on the dirtbikes with Jacob. And let me assure you, Taylor Lautner was not there and these were not dirtbikes.

My best guess? They changed the movie a bit so that Bella does something rash to see Edward's apparition... she rides on a motorcycle with one of the gang members.

Check it out for yourself. In the last cut, you can hear her say "Stop! Stop!" as part of her lines for that scene.

Because we got there so late, we missed all of Rob’s scenes. This is how his scenes were filmed, and how they are going to incorporate more of him into the movie than the book: In this scene in the movie, Bella leaves the theatre with Jessica (the first time she goes to the theatre, not the second time when she goes with Mike and Jacob)… and encounters the same gang that she did in the first movie. And they’ve got motorcycles. She decides to go on a joyride with one of the gang members to try to upset Edward into appearing in her head again. Only in this particular movie scene, they actually filmed Rob Pattinson standing right beside Kristen Stewart telling her not to go, with Kristen standing and talking to the gang member beside his bike. (I’m sure they’ll make him an apparition in post-production editing)

Eclipse Director David Slade on Twilight - “Just Shoot Me”

When Peter compiled his epic and useful list of directors, actors and screenwriters plugged into Twitter, one of those included was Hard Candyman David Slade. Today, however, it seems like Slade’s Twitter account has been deleted, which is a crying shame. Besides the loss of an interesting tweeter, another of the reasons this is unfortunate is that the deletion covers Slade’s tracks a little and hides a rather amusing little attack he launched on the Twilight franchise.

That being the very same Twilight franchise Slade has subsequently signed up to, and for which he will be directing the third installment, Eclipse. Oops.

So, the original Tweet might be gone but after the break we have audio of Slade ripping into Twilight and, if nothing else, its quite funny stuff… and I can’t help wondering what Summit Entertainment, the Twilight cast and Stephenie Meyer think about it?

This clip comes from the BDK movie show on WJFK in Washington DC. The show goes out every Friday night from 7p to 10pm EST and has featured me as a guest now a couple of times, and I’ll be back this Friday the 8th May too. Slade came up in conversation during last night’s show and the show’s host, Kevin McCarthy promised to dig up this gem from their archives. With Kevin’s blessing we present the clip here for you now:

And for those of you who can’t listen at the moment, here’s my best transcript:

…and so yesterday we were trying to find a movie to see and we’d seen all the good ones, you know, and there was nothing really coming out this weekend that we really fancied at all and having directed a vampire film and really gone for something completely different to the kind of romantic, you know, repressed hormone teen vampire movie we really weren’t interested in seeing Twilight but a lot of people said lets go so I wrote -

“Twilight drunk? No, not even drunk. Twilight on acid? No, not even on acid? Twilight at gun point? Just shoot me.”

[That’s like] a poem in a way [...] at this point excites me even though people think I’m a really violent and unpleasant person I actually do have this romantic violent side to me. Maybe I should have seen Twilight.

i honestly don't see the big problem about this. i would have been more shocked if a grown up man who directed a horror vampire flick would have been excited to see a cheesy teen-vampire romance in which vampires aren't even real vampires
and directing a movie is something different plus i guess they will give him enough space to interpret the book in his own way, maybe they promised him he could bring in a big fight and not just focus on the teensy-cheesy love triangle.

^i was scared to death of those vampires in the " 30 days of night" movie
if he goes for that sort of vibe in eclipse it would be great, but well, being a summit/stefanie meyers thing, one can only hope

oh yeah, those vampires were horrible, but they were vampires ^_^
i hope he can make eclipse a little scarier, but since it has to be pg-13 (or whatever...we have different terms in germany) he can't bring in as much blood and darkness as he had going on in 30don BUT i'm sure he can make the newborns scary, bring in cool fight scenes and make the love between edward and bella a little more dangerous, something that i always missed in the books...edward continually repeats how dangerous he is and how easily he could kill bella, yet i NEVER got scared or even the slightest chill, maybe he will be able to bring that to live :woot: sorry, but i'm more excited now than before i knew he ever said something like that...now i can even look forward to eclipse, since i hated the book that's something i never expected:lol:

I had a naughty vampire dream the other night ;) fangs and all.. But I cant remember who my vamp was :(
I dont understadnd why they wouldnt have Bella and Jacob riding the bikes? I thought it was a pretty important part of the book as it was the start of her becoming happy again the bond between her and Jacob.. I dont see why they would change it???

To be honest I'm a bit dissappointed. So he's taken the job for money that's fine BUT there is a fandom and kind of slagging it off before you even start is not the way to go. It's a keep your thoughts to yourself situation.

Apparently the mod ONTD_Twatlight said that he really wanted the job and they liked what he presented and Stephenie approved. So must have read the book or script. He must know what he is getting himself into.

The Mod also said this "i also know they LOVED what drew barrymore had in mind for it."

I wish Drew Barrymore was doing it. She's been in the business all her life, produced 10 movies and directed one. She knows what she's doing and she expressed to everyone that she would have loved to do it. Oh well.

Also Summit is apparently "watching" ONTD_Twatlight. lol

are you a member of twatlight now? so we have our own source? B)

but i thought that that happened before he became the director?! otherwise...sure he shouldn't have said it quite like this, but still, twilight was just a teeny love story, nothing exciting for a guy, especially for one who prefers horror/action movies. i always liked the idea of drew barrymore, so i don't really care if they should bring her "back", but i think he could make "eclipse" actually interesting

so, for anyone thinking there was some girl on girl animosity on the set, that might be correct

Four-Way Twilight Catfight—or Meowfight?

When we chatted with Twi doll Ashley Greene last week, we were curious not only about the guy-girl get-togethers up in Vancouver, but the dirt on the girl-on-girl action, too. I mean, wouldn't you?

Since so much media speculation surrounds Kristen Stewart, with Nikki Reed usually following suit, it wouldn't surprise us if there were tensions on the set. Right? With four good-lookin' babes just starting to finagle their ways in the Biz, there's no friggin' way it's always smooth going.

Right, Ash?

"For the most part it's great," chimed A. "We all get along."

But...

"It's a bunch of personalities," cooed Ash. "So I'm not going to say there's not going to be a disagreement here or there, but it's not like a war or anything like that. We all hang out."

Hollywood's just a bigger high school. We asked A.G. if she wasn't naturally drawn to certain friends?

"Yeah. Me and Rachelle [Lefevre] literally go out to dinner every night and hang out a lot. And Kristen and Nikki definitely hang out with each other more than I think the rest of us do. But we'll all still get together. It's hard with everyone's schedules, too."

This doll seems too PC, which means she'll be quite successful in the Biz. Probably best to stay out of any Kristen-Nikki drama, anyway 'cause you so know it's Rob Pattz-tainted there, thank you very much

Besides, how does that saying go? Keep your friends close, your...frenemies closer?

^ That doesn't necessarily mean that they hate each other or don't get along. The Twilight cast is made up of a large group of people, all of them different. It's completely natural that some people will be closer to some than others, and as a result hang out more...

here's another link

http://www.sendspace.com/file/wjixer

i haven't downloaded this, so no idea if this is a little messed up, i had to re-format mine, she says she has done the same...

BUT it's def a very early draft (if real at all) there's no cinema scene with jacob in it and he doesn't come to the school (we have picture of them filming those scenes)

i hope they added those scenes by cutting some of those gazillion flashbacks:yuk:

Here they come

The Volturi. In Vancouver.

Here are Michael Sheen and Jamie Campbell Bower arriving yesterday for New Moon. For those of you who are not familiar, Michael Sheen is the father of Kate Beckinsale’s daughter. It’s widely believed she left him for Len Wiseman during the filming of Underworld. Michael received critical acclaim in both The Queen and most recently in Frost/Nixon.

Meanwhile, Kate’s only contribution these days has been overdressing.

Also attached – Dakota Fanning at LAX en route to Vancouver. Have received many, many emails about her boots today.

Thank you for giving me yet another opportunity to brag about my boots. I will. Mine are brown suede. Click here for the original post.

Anyway, Dakota is tentatively supposed to start shooting today schedule permitting. What’s up this week? Green screen work that involves driving around in a Porsche. And the cliff diving scene. Bella wants to jump, Edward the apparition asks her not to.

Then Edward takes a phone call, gets very upset and the phone disintegrates in his hand.

And then Edward, Bella, Alice are escorted by some vampires (including Dakota Fanning) through the underground passage to meet with the others. I actually remember reading this part and half laughing half gagging through all of Bella’s “staggered/fainting/collapsing” spells. Actually, no. That was the entire book. Ugh.

Also shooting the scene when they leave and Heidi brings in the victims.

More tomorrow. And another series of pictures on the way.

i have a little crush on michael sheen (i have forgiven him the NM deal) :crush:

the locks are so cute on him and i like the combination of the sneakers and the suit...i guess i like older guys, first chris now michael:innocent:
rob's the only one that brings out the cougar in me:lol:(although 1 1/2 years is nothing, right?)

ANYWAYS so they're filming the Porsche scene in canada. i guess all the volturi in their "castle" scenes as well. is Peter still there? i guess they're gonna shoot the part with him in canada as well, right?

^I have a little thing for michael since i saw Frost/Nixon and realized some time afterwards who he actually was....but its more like "you're so amazing, can i please just stand next to you for a while" sort of thing hehehe.
I think it will be funny to watch the volturi (dakota and michael sheen at least) out shine the rest of the cast, acting wise. It'll prob be like " see kids, this is how you're supposed to do this, even though the source of material sucks."
And what is this porshe scene? i didnt read new moon
