Andrea.RL, yeah it's so annoying when hairdressers seem to be working to please themselves. if you showed him exactly what you wanted, then he should try to get as close as possible. if he won't do it then he should have told you upfront. if it came out too light, he could always tone it down. it looks nice though

there was an article years ago about 'hair painting' in france....i'll have to see if i could dig it up. it was lightening the ends and hand painting upwards so it looked like more natural highlights than the ones sported by pop stars here...

I'd love to see it if you can find it!

Hmm...her hair is too long for it, it looks cheap. And it sort of goes dark light dark light.
I really miss Alexa Chung's two-tone hair, imho opinion she looked great with it, though many people hated it. Ombre is great with short hair.
I hate dip-dye though Especially like Nicki Minaj or when it's pink/coloured at the ends.

My hair is already getting so light from the summer sun, I am excited, hopefully as it gets longer it will just ombre it'self. I love it when that happens naturally.

i love how it looks on rachel bilson, i want to get it done except i have naturally dark brown hair and i'm naturally tan. what are your thoughts on pulling this style with tan skin?

I don't think it's a problem. I mean, rumy neely is part asian and has some skin color and it looks nice
I'd say it's when very pale you should be careful, I liked my white skin and with the two tones I looked very pinkish and weird It brings out colors that's for sure.

It's perfect on a tanned skin!
Two tone kind of make people think of the highlights you naturaly gets during summer with sun exposure. IMO it looks great!

I have just got back from the hairdresser. My hair was extra light before, which made it look thin and damaged. The stylist suggested delicate ombre (with just two shade different) and that's the effect.
I know it';s not as spectacular as brown/blonde type of ombre, but I really love it.
It looks so natural, hair looks healthier and face looks more defined.
