Two Tone Hair

Tried this technique out with a highlighting kit. Love how it turned out. My hair is a dyed faded shade of copper. The ends are a light strawberry blonde now. The pics don't do it justice but it very pretty in person.

^Love it. I love the copper tone and the highlighted parts look very subtle and natural. I'm surprised you could get such a good result with a highlighting kit. I'm tempted to try this myself. My hair is more reddish-brown at the moment though. But your hair is a good example it works with colors other than brown too ^_^

Thanks. I had to do it 4 times fyi. I mixed up the color and put it on my ends(last 5 inches) for 10 minutes, washed it off, nothing, then put it on again for 20 mins, then I saw it lightening, so then I took more and applied it to the last 2 inches for another 30 mins. That gave it a more graduated look.;)

I don't really like it either. And the amount of hair with the extensions looks like too much. I love the Chanel two tone look.

Are you a natural redhead or did you have to use a lightener/bleach before the red? It's gorgeous!

I was desperate to do this to my hair in type for v fest this weekend, after watching lily's tutorial, but it would be impossible for me to do it in a day as I'd need to dy my whole head first, gutted!

I've been starting to think I'd like to do this but now it's becoming a common thing in Hollywood, which I have to admit somewhat ruins it for me.

I'm a natural dark blonde shade. Been getting my hair dyed red-copper for a bout 2 years now.

Took a picture in the sunlight. You can see it better that way. My roots show my natural shade.

^^ :woot: Wow, quite similar indeed! But as my hair gets longer and I continue to get regular trims, my other hair color is going to disappear. I think I may try to color it back by myself.
