Flicking through it, what I noticed was all the different paper textures and a big ad for the UK Bazaar website at the back, now that everyone's part of the same happy publishing family. It's definitely a tactile magazine, nice colours too. However, because I'm not as impressed by s/s fashion as I am with the drama of the a/w season - and at seven pounds - I gave it a miss, but I want to go back for a second look.

Got mine earlier today, and at first glance, consists of the standard Elle Collections formulae. As tigerrouge mentioned, different textures and paper sizes, very tactile. I have yet to sit down and take a decent look, but I'm eager to engage in the interviews. I'm certain substantial reading will be provided, or some attractive design.

The cover itself seems a bit sloppy in my opinion. I like the color scheme they chose to use but the actual layout is pretty messy. However, that said, I'm curious to see what's on the inside because they usually have a few interesting articles.

And Pinkballoons, I've found that Barnes & Nobel usually sells the UK Elle Collections (although you might have to wait a few weeks for it to show up in stores in the states). Also, you can always ask the people at the store if/when they will be getting this magazine in store. I've found that the people at B&N are really nice about this sort of thing.

The S/S collections are usually my favorite, so I'm excited to get my copy. Although I agree that the cover just seems like a giant mess. There are many magazines, especially collections magazines, that do a giant, colorful collage for their cover, but this one doesn't seem to flow like the others do. Hopefully the saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover" will stand, and the contents will be more promising than the cover.
I've already seen that the Barnes and Nobles carry them in the US, at least in NY they do. They only have a few copies though. And again, that's only the one near me, but being that it is a rather big store with only a few copies, I would go ahead and buy before they are all gone.

So annoyed with paying so much for a magazine that is littered with spelling errors and simple imaging mistakes. There is one part where they refer to Tyra Banks Tania or something like that. Honestly reads like it was put together entirely by the interns , some of the collages are horribly discoloured and pixelated (not deliberately so). I wish I'd paid more for the Vogue Paris one.

And I found the designer mini interviews interesting but the same answers appeared twice under Meadham Kirchoff as they did another designer !
