UK Vogue August 2020 : British Landscapes by Fourteen Different Subjects

According to Nick Knight's Instagram, the mastermind behind the idea of landscape covers wasn't even Enninful's - it was Knight's! He's taking credit when uploading his cover to IG here:

Hockney's and Himid's covers are the only one that interests me.
The rest show that it really is a highly developed skill to do a proper landscape. And few should make the attempt.
I don't think Ansel Adams would give a crack for any of these.
But they're being auctioned to raise funds for Covid relief, so I assume they will do well.
A closer look at the Lubaina Himid cover:

And in today's edition of Messy Straight Men.....

Nick Knight is the type of friend that will hold your hair back as you vomit your guts out in a nightclub loo, and the moment you're out of sight tells everyone what a mess you were.

The British Vogue archives used in Back to the Future would have been amazing covers & 14 of them wouldn’t have been enough
EE has no idea between what is a cover and what is a feature. Someone needs to whisper in his ear it is all about …… consumerism dummy

Tatler regularly runs short editorials that are a little bit like Back to the Future, except they superimpose the products in such a deliberately awkward way that we're supposed to recognise that it's a joke.

I'd have to see the editorial in print to see if it works, but... much as I love seeing reprints from the past, this is... not my thing. It's not enough that modern magazine imagery is dull and lifeless, but they have to reach back into the archives to ruin that moment in time as well, with the digital equivalent of putting paper clothes on a cut-out.

Up in the cloud has some competent shots and others not so much, it comes to show how important is to be loved by the camera and know how to present oneself with attitude in front of it.

The archive edit speaks to me weirdly enough I'm always thinking how would people in the past would see our fashion and what pieces could be seen as timeless.

The rest is quite dull.

My local Tesco had 9 copies out today, each one a different cover. I’m going to assume it won’t be too hard to get the one you want. I didn’t buy however as Knight’s and Hockney’s weren’t there.
