That's what baffles me too. These editors who're supposed to have the eye.. end up allowing blunders like this to occur. It's just impossible to miss. I find it rather hilarious how half the comments in this thread are about the mishap. Yet the situation obviously went unnoticed at the Bazaar offices. Because, surely not, they noticed it and allowed themselves the embarrassment after it's published for the world to see.
Is this the first time a magazine has done a separate cover for international subscribers? The shot used for Lara's is terrific, I would of loved to have received that one. But, I'm content with the Dolce & Gabbana/V&A one.
As usual, I haven't had the chance to sit down and have a thorough look through the issue. But I intend to, because after a quick leaf through, there seems to be a few points of interest. One thing Justine has done at Bazaar is fetch excellent articles to the book.
Carine Roitfeld's editorial is fantastic, Stephanie Seymour's two pictures are electric. I knew I'd love what Roitfeld would bring to the table. Even though she doesn't so what she used to at Vogue Paris, there's still a certain quality to her pictures. I look forward to the rest of Carine's stories. Modern Love by Catherine Servel is nice too. I commented last week that I'm over these sixties edits that are getting played out in every single publication. But this one is nice and enjoyable, I love the composition.
