UK Harper's Bazaar October 2012 : Joan Smalls & Laetitia Casta by Sebastian Faena

Laetitia looks great. I would also love Joan's cover if not for the cheesy smile.

^ LMAO. Yes, I don't think most would complain about seeing Laetitia's ample curves being displayed so nicely.

Laeticia's is the better cover but I really love the photo of Joan. She has a great smile. Though I'm not sure I like it as a cover.

Really like Joan's cover and her editorial looks amazing.

i love both covers  and especially the subscribers cover of laetitia :crush: the best from HB UK for me this year

The covers are absolutely gorgeous! Joan wow, her best cover so far. She's incredibly beautiful, that smile and pose. Definitely a must get.

Joan's owning it, I couldn't give a $#!& for Laetita's.

I do love me some Laetitia Casta, and the cover has fetched the amount of sexiness and fashion I need. Joan's is rather supplement-ish. Although the edit inside seems fabulous. Bazaar's on full-form, I look forward to this.

Are those photos taken from your subscriber's copy, honeycombchild? Mine hasn't arrived.

Laetitia cover is perfect. Beautiful.
Joan not so much, its a little awkward...

Joan's feature pics inside are stunning.

Joan's is okay, she looks smiley and happy. Laetitia's is like a vision of pure goddess perfection. I've seen her play this role before but I don't care, she kills it each and every time.

I find it funny how vampish and sexy they have managed to make that Jil Sander dress ever look. Also Sara's ed preview looks super gorgeous, cant wait to see more

Awful. The condensed font is horrible! What is happening here...

In Laetitia's shot, I can see they wanted the cleavage to take centre stage but there's something to be said for letting your cover text breathe, especially a serif font. There's no point squashing it to the sides, you start to lose the elegance and poise of the typeface. A little bit of elongation isn't going to kill the cover - whatever the size of the wording, people are still going to be able to see that chest in full effect.

Given that this sort of of cover is so close to my personal preferences for beauty styling, it almost feels strange to see it happen for real, I suddenly realise how boring my tastes are.

But to have Joan on a cover as well, I'm spoilt for choice.
