'Cool Britannia is back' in a time where Britain is declining in cultural relevance, Tatler declares the rebirth of Cool Britannia?
Well, it's mainly because Oasis are getting back together for a tour (which may or may not happen, depending on how many days they can tolerate being in the same room as each other).
Sh!tting-on-Britain has become a mainstream hobby on the internet, but the people living in Tatlerworld are probably the ones most immune to it (which is not me, I live across the road from the council estate I grew up in).
I have my print subscription copy in front of me, it's 136 pages. no supplement this month, and NO new season adverts. This might be the earliest August issue of any UK magazine, but it seems it's
too early for any new campaigns.
Inside from cover advert is for Rolex, back cover campaign is for Chanel eyewear. Aside from the Britpop-themed content, as seen above in the Instagram posts, there are also features on Princess Alice, and country house of the month is the Howdens at Cornbury House in Oxfordshire.
Tatler Throwback is a March 2000 cover of Jamiroquai's Jay Kay with Jemma and Jodie Kidd, which I do not remember at all.
In terms of seeing any new season ads, the August issue of UK Vogue is listed as coming out on 15/07/25, so we have about two weeks to wait, but I can see US Vogue's August 2025 issue coming out first.
