Genuinely stopped me in my tracks, I’ve waited since Edwards first issue for a Naomi Cover and couldn’t be any happier. Also finally something different from Edward, it’s cool and modern but with a iconic model and team behind it. Bravo!!!

The Vaseline lens trend continues.....

I'm not one of those who had been pining to see Naomi book this cover, but on paper it reads like a match made in heaven. Naomi Campbell by Steven Meisel. Pity the end result doesn't impress me. It's too dark for a spring cover especially with those colours, the effect made the entire thing look like a music album cover, and the subject just isn't for me. Clever of him to give March as she'll need every bit of a push to help sell this on the homefront. Especially with her reputation and foul temper. I imagine it will sell better abroad.

Also, all those names on the cover are people who appeared in this magazine previously, and actually very recently.

Took 16 years, but i don't like the cover. Never thought i would say that. It's not bad, but i wish the middle image was more opaque and the background images more transparent. Like she was moving.

It’s about time... finally seeing her on the cover again, that’s enough. It could’ve been better though.

Glorious! I'm mad at Edward's inability to be consistent with his covers but I can't help but adore this. Naomi and Meisel are a match made in heaven.

I'm so happy she landed the cover because she's a legitimate icon and it's long overdue. I have to say I'm surprised it wasn't sooner, but I knew he'd use her for a big issue at some point; I can't believe some people doubted she would appear - it seemed an inevitability.

Okay this is stunning, but I cannot with the concept.

Of all the days they aspired to be creative, they decided to experiment on Naomi.

Naomi is a gorgeous woman who deserves no filter or whatever dramatic effect you can ever think of. A portrait, can’t believe I’ll say this, would have sufficed!

Naomi looking straight to the camera, shot by Meisel, would have been a dream! Regardless, still taking this. Imagine if the shot where she’s looking straight to the camera was the cover. Damn!

HOWEVER, this cover just highlighted how TERRIBLE the art direction is. See how INFLEXIBLE it is. Ugh can type so much about it. The fact that someone / an entire team is PAID for that baffles me.

This would have been stunning, if it was just the middle image for the cover. Three opaque heads, with those colors give a Halloween vibe. Terrible art direction. Naomi deserves a much better cover than this paint shop pro nonsense.
