UK Vogue October 2023 : Lily Gladstone & Leonardo DiCaprio by Craig McDean

I hope you’re wrong.

someone was saying on another thread that this promotion was a pompous disguise to make him happy and that it sounded more important than it actually was.

Oh I pray I’m dead wrong LOL

Unfortunately, besides status, clout and relevance, it’s also vital to him that he is credited, praised and glorified by the masses as a saviour of everything that is superficially endorsed as progressive/representation/inclusive and diverse etc etc He won’t be satisfied with just a throne— he wants his presence in every kingdom.

It looks more like some sort of Vogue Agenda profile than an actual cover.

Craig died and was replaced? I can't remember the last time he did something good!

People would have dragged for this. Edward get a pass and does nothing to justify that..

‘I don’t get why he made a countdown to his last issue to just deliver underwhelming covers anyway…

‘It does reminds me of the Penelope Cruz and Bono cover of Vogue Paris under Carine…But less fabulous.

her profile shot is beautiful and I believe that an editorial on her own would’ve been much stronger IF the styling had a different purpose than to make her look matronal.

yes, we are all aware of her roofs and that beautiful but fashion magazines can be SO LITERAL ffs.

also, Leo looks like Leo but doesn’t look like Leo. :meow:

I like Craig doing fashion eds. I loved his Mona editorial from last year.

But why them? Its there a project coming out?

McDean's past works for Vogue under Edward were summery and vibrant. Even his studio group cover in 2018 was full of life despite being shot in a studio. This one, though, is very different. It's just dreary and unimaginative. It looks like a pretentious prenup photo shoot.

What a dreary, dull little editorial. It’s a total wet drip of a thing. I don’t really get why this was the idea that got sold in, at all.

it feels like plain and simple promo for their film.. i guess it was a bought cover? doesnt fit with edwards style to me at all
