This is a poor attempt to re-create the infamous editorial with Anna Selezneva from Vogue Paris, as much as it's a given that the only possibility to make this marketable would be to stylise the girl like Carine I just think this is a poor attempt at it and it looks cheap... And Lexi? not exactly a girl I would pair up with Carine, maybe Erin Wasson? someone with personality and character.

I really don't get ad campaigns that are in black and white. How are you supposed to sell clothes when the buyers don't even know what it really looks like (in re: the color)? That leopard jacket look good but it's in black and white... maybe in real life it's pink and yellow.

Lol, oh b&w I can deal with, if it's executed clear cut. I understand that they do not really want to toe a literal line. But when brands go with campaigns filled with so much colour, and selecting the most generic looking outfits, then I take issue. Case in point: Calvin Klein AW15. Also, like Chanelcouture09, I too wondered how Carine came across Lexi for this campaign, and now I see it was shot by Meisel. Guess it all makes much more sense now. He probably pushed for her. Question is, will we see more of this Meisel + Carine collabs? I sincerely hope so. This is weak, but it's for Uniqlo, so I guess it's fine.

Does she wield that much power to have her own colab with Uniqlo though?

Japanese people are very precise in making decisions, if something is more than slight chances not to work out, they will definitely not do it.

But if some highly valued consultant suggests it, oddly that'll do too, no matter how bad it looks. That's why there are so many weird tv spots being produced. But I do think she has a strong fallowing, it's VOGUE and PARIS, two things with good reputation to the people in general.

uniqlo, lexi & meisel, what is there not to like, I have faith for the rest of the campaign images:heart:
