 :woot:
Looks like they may have merged the location shot with a studio shot as Penelope and Marion's outfits are different to the ones we saw in the candids.
I think it's stunning none the less.

Wow ... This is really interesting. Such a departure from Vogue that it almost doesn't feel like one of their covers.
I love the movie set feel, it all feels like they were just caught in the middle of filming. And I am so glad they chose to go with more than one talent, although I wouldn't mind Cotillard solo.

I will probably be buying this for sure. If I have to be picky, I would have liked the text above the Vogue to be gone, but then again there is no banner - so little steps.

I was worried that it would look too crowded, but it works out just fine. Plus all the girls look quite nice, the outfits are pretty. Can someone ID the dress on Hudson?
Interested in the content, as always. Thanks for posting!

Miracle Antiaging Apple :lol::heart:

They are all washed up and washed out looking. Marion is the only one who's giving some kind of mood to the cover. Nicole looks very much like an uncomfortable drag queen. The red lip is so bad. Penelope's face is lacking and the other girl isn't even trying.

It kinda feels like Vanity Fair but then its because I always associate Leibovitz with VF....
I don't know what to think about this.

I like the idea, but the 'cut-out' around their heads - and something about the lighting - makes it look like they've been photoshopped in from a different shoot, even though they were there.

The background is gorgeous, the sunlight there is amazing, and I wish that had been carried through in a more natural way upon all the women, even if it meant inconvenient shadows. There's lighting coming from an unnatural angle - of course, to illuminate their faces and the fabrics and so on - but to my mind, that also stops the image making proper sense in terms of its depth.

But it is something different, although it's not a line-up that I have any interest in and I can't see much chemistry in that particular shot. Everyone's posing on their own, yet in a group. I don't mind it, but it's not something I'd rush out to buy.

It's nice to see a mutli-girl cover instead of a solo, but the cut-out-and-paste looks a little amateur and distracting. Glad to see Marion on the there though.

^ I agree regarding the lighting and photoshop. I definitely feel like they have merged the two images. Perhaps they wanted to change the outfits at the last minute?
Marion's hair was longer when they did the beach shoot - so I feel like hers is definitely a more recent shot.
Also this look is SO Leibovitz. Her images always have that air of 'perfection' to them.
But I don't mind that. That's just her.
There's not enough I can fault about this cover not to love it.
But then again I could be biased as I adore Marion Cotillard and am just happy that she made it into the cover of Vogue!

I'm wondering what that little ghostly bit in the middle - on Marion's dress - is, a smudge or is it supposed to be a bit of 'lens flare' from the sun?

OOoh i like it, i can really appreciate how different this is to any US Vogue cover ever, but Penelope looks hands down the best. I just despise that there is now no banner, but they put the text above the masthead? Wtf!!!! That just looks cheap!!

It's hard to believe there is one original photo of this. Now the photoshop thing has been so far that candids photos are prettiest than this. It's a shame especially for Kidman. She may thinks she looks better in her bathroom in the morning than on cover of US Vogue !

The setting is so good.

Seriously, i am shocked at how bad Kidman looks in this shot, its so incredibly unflattering for such a stunning woman. Although it may look better when i see it in print, but surely they could have chosen a shot where she looks better. The background is divine though. And i so agree that these days paparazzi candids look more beautiful than pictures taken by top photographer's, airbrushing is ruining everything!

Somehow I can't believe this is a real cover. Maybe i'm being delusional.
