US Vogue November 2009 : Marion, Penelope, Nicole and Kate by Annie Leibovitz

Very well it seems i am the only one loving Karlie's ed, few shots are simply stunning, and Sturridge fits in nicely. Thanks for posting MMA.

Nah, you're not alone. Karlie and Tom exude a Linda/Kyle M (september 1993) charm. And Karlie is really earning her place as a Vogue regular. She is definitely growing as a model. She would make Tyra Banks proud

Vogue should really try to vary their choices in models. It's getting boring seeing the same old cookie-cutter blondes and brunettes in every issue.

Lily looks gorgeous.

It kills me how much Karlie dominated the Daily News ed, Lily was only in two shots, and god forbid she would get a shot to herself! It reminded me of the Jourdan/Chanel ed last month.... its totally humiliating to the model who gets shafted.
P.S. did anyone else notice how the Daily News ed looked exactly like the Pieced Together ed from June?

I remember I hated Karlie when she first started appearing in magazines. Then I learned to appreciate her skill as a model and eventually her look, and then I really started loving her. But this ridiculous Karlie overload is threatening to upset all my efforts to like her. THREE EDS?!? It's just WAY too much. I know I'm just repeating what everyone's saying each month in US Vogue's threads, but really. I understand the desire to familiarise the audience with a certain group of models, but I wonder if the general public even care

agreed. i mean can they make it any more obvious who the intended star of the ed is? i'm off and on with karlie...but now this is just too much and now i'm off:sick:

It's nice that Anna & Co are championing an American model in US Vogue, but I'm indifferent about Karlie so bleh. I do like the countryside ed, her Jane Birkin-ish locks sucked me in.

Continuing exploration of Klosscentric subject matter...

I love this. It's norhing new, but this is great stuff.

That shot of Karlie and Tom rolling around in the hay is very weird. Tom's head is very badly photoshopped.

This just makes me so disappointed they didn't feature more shots in the magazine?! :(
Everything looks so beautiful. I really don't understand it....
Also looks like the costume changes were actually there on the beach.
Still doesn't explain Marion's shorter hair on the cover though...

I know nothing about [strike]Rpattz's hobo life partner[/strike] Tom Stu but I like the autumnal feel and styling of that edit.

Sadly no, it is just the cover picture, the inner picture that was posted up thread and a couple of small behind the scenes pictures in the Letter to the editor or Contributor pages - I forget which at the moment but those pictures were nicer than the cover albeit teeny.

Pity, they chose interesting cover girls for a change. So much potential.

There is a small picture of Daniel in the article but I believe it is just one of the stills from 9. Oh what I would have given for him to be a part of this! Such a beautiful man. Sigh.
You and me both. I guess we can hope for some Vanity Fair coverage once the movie is released.
Thanks for the help.

They all were actually on the location!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

FAIL

They could have done a cute cover with all of them wrapped in one of those huge sweaters :p

What the hell happened to that shoot?!?!?! By the looks of the video it looked like soem very nice shots were made... How on earth did Vogue end with this cover?!?!?! I would love to knwo what went on in the Vogue offices.

well, this issue is totally Karlie overload! but what the hell, i  her. :D :) love her ed. with Tom Sturridge! each shot is beautifully photographed. though i must agree that the styling is a 'bit bland 'cause it doesn't suit her well as it makes her look old. but hey, she's somehow working it right? :D :) love the their shot with the pumpkin! so cute. plus the lighting, very autumnal indeed. i think she and Tom S. look good together. what do you think guys? :D :) actually, this ed. reminds me of the one with Raquel and Doutzen in the May 07 issue photographed by Inez & Vinoodh. i don't know why. :D

as for her ed. with Lily, it's just sad 'cause Lily has got 2 shots only while Karlie dominated the whole "The Daily News" ed. :(

can't wait to see Karen's! :)

 Don't you wish the made 'The September Issue' for EVERY issue of Vogue so we could find out how these choices get made and WHY?

I must say that Karlie is QUICKLY growing on me. Girl does some IMPRESSIVE work and certainly has a very dignified presence that many models could only dream of having. In such a short time, she has mastered what it takes some models YEARS to do. She is a truly rare creature that can both bring loads of drama to any runway and make an editorial, no matter what the concept, come to life. It is astounding that she is only 17 and probably the top model of the moment right now. Winning the heart of Anna Wintour is a very tough feat, but look what it did to the careers of Gisele, Karolina Kurkova, Caroline Trentini, and Raquel Zimmermann. Karlie could easily follow in the footsteps of these 21st century supers. Just think, in ten years she will only be 27, definitely still old enough to work, especially if she maintains her incredibly versatile features. I think that this is just the beginning, a HUGE one at that !

I like this studio editorial a lot more than Jean Roy's past outdoor shoots for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion fund. I think it better portrays the designers personalities and aesthetics.

Ooh I love the studio shoot! The focus of the shoot is obviously on the clothes, as it should!
