US Vogue September 2006 : Kirsten Dunst by Annie Leibovitz

Vogue sure loves to recycle celebs. I suppose since they gave us Linda last issue I'll let them off for putting Kirsten on the September issue. I'll be bitter though.

I haven't even received my Aug. issue. I've paid for renewal about a month ago, and still no show. And I HATE THE FACT I GET MY ISSUES two weeks after they show up on newsstands. JUST BECAUSE I'M SAVING 90% OVER THE COVER PRICE DOESN'T MEAN I'M A SECOND RATE CITIZEN. I AM NOT AN ANIMAL!!!!!

lmao! It's funny how stressed we all get over Vogue. I think there needs to be more competition out there in the market so we don't have to feel like we've been let down almost every month when Vogue screws up.

I can't stand the fact that from what it looks like Coco Rocha got a single girl edit, while such beautifull and great (and some way more succesfull) girls like Diana Dondoe, Maria Carla, Marija Vujovic, Inguna Butane, anja rubik, iselien Steiro and Freha (almost) never appeared in US Vogue. Not even for a lame accessories ed by Raymond Meier. Marija and Diana only made an fleeting appearance in a multi girl story by Meisel in the june 2005 issue and as far as I know Maria Carla only made a fleeting apearance in a Testino ed form feb 04 and and an Ralph Lauren ed by Bruce Weber from late 2002. And don't get me started about the fact how under used Eugenia, Julia and Elise are the last year and a half. I really dont like Coco

^^yeah, they seem to just pick a couple of models and then blindly use them for eeveerything..I whish they used more models, but then again I wish they'd do a lot of things differently at US vogue:doh:

I think it's a good thing that they changed models. I couldn't stand anymore Caroline Trentini or Gemma Ward and although I'm not a Coco Rocha's fan, I'm so happy to see Doutzen, who is absolutely amazing. By the way, does anyone know if Coco has Portuguese origins? You see Rocha is a very common Portuguese surname.

Seeing Patricia in Vogue US was somewhat unexpected for me! Very intriguing issue...

Exactly! I really don't understand some things... I don't mind Coco but Patricia is too much! :ninja:

ditto!!

Agh ok good.. so I'm not the only one ticked at seeing Coco here.. I just wish her face would stay in Vogue Italia.. :ninja:

Ok that was mean but I totally do not care AT ALL for her look. I didn't want to say anything because it would seem like I can't be pleased.. for once Vogue US uses a new model.. but Coco?

On a good note.. Doutzen looks amazing.. I hope she becomes Anna's new girl. Not likely.. but lets hope.

im more looking forward to the movie than the magazine
though..if there an interview..i would like to read it

Yes true. I'm glad Doutzen made it into US Vogue cause she deserves it. About Coco and Patricia....hmm they're too new, too edgy and too european for US Vogue, but arent they among the newest Vogue Paris and Italia cover stars? i think Anna just wants to give her magazine a change, so if this issue gets good feedback, i think we could see the likes of Anna-Mariya and Bette in the future.

I think 754 pages is ok but it almost makes the mag a murder weapon!

So Coco and Patricia got "only girl" spreads in this issue? :buzz:
Oh lordy, i'm so getting this issue. I'm so pleased that they decided to use the new, edgier models rather than their usual choices. Although I still believe that they belong in the the often better european editions of Vogue:P .
Anna tripped up badly with chosing Doutzen though . Why didn' t she pick Hilary Rhoda?. I don' t really care for her look but she's big right now and portrays the all american girl-next-door look she seems to love.
