can't stand the fact that from what it looks like Coco Rocha got a single girl edit, while such beautifull and great (and some way more succesfull) girls like Diana Dondoe, Maria Carla, Marija Vujovic, Inguna Butane, anja rubik, iselien Steiro and Freha (almost) never appeared in US Vogue. Not even for a lame accessories ed by Raymond Meier. Marija and Diana only made an fleeting appearance in a multi girl story by Meisel in the june 2005 issue and as far as I know Maria Carla only made a fleeting apearance in a Testino ed form feb 04 and and an Ralph Lauren ed by Bruce Weber from late 2002. And don't get me started about the fact how under used Eugenia, Julia and Elise are the last year and a half. I really dont like Coco

Couldn't agree more! I also really don't like it that Coco is getting all that attention and that the other models (especially Elize) are fading to the background.

i am anxious for my september issue - have any subscribers gotten theirs yet (i know what the answer is, but still)? i am going away next wednesday for 2 weeks and i really want it for the plane ride.

but i get screwed every year by the september issue - i remember one year waiting and waiting for the mail and then finally getting nervous because i started seeing october on all the newstands...so, i run around nyc like a crazy person trying to find a september, find one at the last possible newstand you'd ever think of, lug it home only to have the subscribed copy waiting for me at my apartment. but it was all gross and torn so i was glad to have the store-bought copy.

I have mixed feelings about the cover- it's definitely an improvement or at least a breath of fresh air compared with, say, last year's september issue with sarah jessica parker . it's good that it has an interesting theme now...
i dont hate kirsten dunst, but i do wish it was someone with more personality...or less predictable style for that matter.
my only and real objection though, is the amount of white letters, one could be a little more appreciative of the image if it wasnt all trashed out by having almost the entire index on the cover.

And don't get me started about the fact how under used Eugenia, Julia and Elise are the last year and a half.

...it was definitely a healthy break after been featured to death the entire 2003!.

no scans of any edits yet? also what are the contents other than the cover stories? i am gonna be spending approx Rs. 650 (or 13 US dollars) to get my hands on this issue, so someone better tell me if it is worth it or i wait till i get a second hand (ut perfectly new condition)copy about 5 months down the line?

Why didn' t she pick Hilary Rhoda?. I don' t really care for her look but she's big right now and portrays the all american girl-next-door look she seems to love.

I don't get either why Hilary hasn't been in US vogue yet... maybe she looks too much like Bee Schaeffer (Anna's daughter)?
