I feel little about Meisel's ed, though the casting was amazing imo, Anna S. Daul Kim and Naty C.! Maybe it's the retouching thing like sethii said, the ed is so obscure for me.

Well I know dogging happens in forest park areas in Scotland so I don't mind the location so much. I'm not really excited by anything I've seen so far. But it's not terrible. Thanks to all of those who have posted edits .

As far as the Meisel ed goes, I think I need to look at it a bit more. But I am intrigued by it- not shocked, but definitely intrigued.

are you kidding with the comas ? it's terrible to read one of your post ....
i know you have a certain thing for supermodels so i was about to read sthg in that sense. but i think you're right they shouldnt let underaged models do that. now it's up to their agents AND mom to sign the contract, non ?

Anyway ... about the editorial IMO there's nothing Vogue Italia in this. Really not !!! I can understand why they hadn't chose to show this (though they might get scared because of the spirit of the story - not the sex itself - and because they already had been attacked because of some Meisel's stories ... remember the thing about War and the thing about the Rehab' .... ?)

But those editorials showed some fashion, though - i quote MMA - "testing the boundaries of fashion isn't just about fashion..." .... I mean they were appropriate in a way. The styling mirrored the anthropologic study of Meisel, the story had its place in a social and historic etc. context and tested the fashion magazines' boundaries themselves (i'm especially thinking of the whole Hollywood/Rehab'/Paparazzi editorials ... celebs becoming style icons, tabloids and candids being the new fashion editorials .... - which for me are a sort of series, Security/War editorials make a serie for me, too ).

but here i don't know why ... i feel NOTHING ! Nothing managed to interest me ... and god knows i'm horny those times ....
the dogging is nothing new ... i like the technics used (this green thing is nothing new as well for shooting in nights ... it actually remembers me a serie of photos shooted in Le Dépôt - parisian gay sex club - for Nova) and i like some of the shots ... but honestly it brings nothing exciting at all ... and oh it is not outrageous, nor p*rn*gr*ph*c, nor shocking ... it's just emotionless !!!! maybe he actually managed to render those situations ........... where, tbh, there is NO emotions at all ....
maybe it's a genius story, actually ?! omfg my own boring blabla is making me confused, now ....
oh and there's a lot of Tillmans and Nan Goldin's inspirations, imo ........


to be honest, i'm more curious about how this has gone from VI to V ..... is it just a business opportunity ?!

Underage? I can't speak for the male models, but Anna J, Anna S, and Iris are well into their 20's, and the other two are over 18 as well. They're all adults.

We know you disapprove of young models, but at least get your facts straight.

hmm. I am finding the ed entirely hard to judge because the pictures are small. I can understand why VI would probably have rejected it though, for the gang bang implications alone.

its definitely not sexier than the Eva Mendes cover or other eds they have had, but the gritty, ambiguous quality makes it more questionable.

I would love to see it full sized before I make any more judgments on it, but I don't think it looks as bad as everyone is saying

Hmmm really don't like Meisel's editorail at all, it just looks so trashy and cheap, I can't believe my favourite photog would shoot something like this. It's not necessarily the content, it's just so cliche with the lighting and the quality of the pictures look TERRIBLE

it's not outrageous in the pictures themselves ... it's seen outrageous in the sense they are promoting some "alternative" sex practices .... and not the best "alternatives" ....
i don't get why people are not getting this ... of course it's not sexual .... but c'mone Meisel is promoting - do not forget he's publishing in a mass media format and it's a fashion media!!! - outdoors g**g b**g taken as a game !!!

i've pretty much always support Meisel in his social fashion stories ... but this is a bit far .... i'm not a conservative or whatever and eventhough you think i am, i really don't care ... but do you really think it's ok to publish that kind of things ? have you ever been faced to someone who got AIDS because of that kind of stupid games ?
no because dogging is nothing new .... just wake up sometimes !
