There can be too much of a good thing.
The only negative of Gaga–who is talented and at least IMO deserving of her great success–is that she can run something into the ground. This is an example of that.

First few covers - oh wow these are great!
Next few covers - ok, this is kind of cool
The covers after that - I mean I guess, sure, fine, whatever.
This cover - *closes laptop, walks away from computer*

The first 3 covers were great and would have created a strong impact. Then they/ she had to pile on the unnecessary, ugly, amateur mess. These people need to learn and exercise restraint, and a skill called editing— if one’s to be an… editor.

I've lost interest.

Perfectly said ! What started out has a very nice surprise ends up looking like a big joke.

I think 16 covers was probably too many. I love the first few, the Steven Klein covers and the shot of Gaga and Inez, but not so much the rest. I'm surprised because usually I&V and Gaga are a great combination, but I'm not feeling it much here.

I like the idea of the one with Gaga and Taylor, but I just wish it looked more like a cover image. I get that it's meant to be a candid moment and I ge the idea behind it, but it just doesn't work. I don't like it when publications slap any image on the cover with the logo, it needs to be more considered. I think it would have been nice to see the two of them shot professionally, like the Gaga/Inez cover. Although I do really like what we've seen as them as a couple, they seem very sweet together and the idea is interesting, just not well executed.

I love Gaga and I'm excited to see what she has coming up this year, but I think some more editing and restraint would have gone a long way here.

When I first heard that GaGa was going to be on the cover, I was like eh, but honestly love all the cover!!! My favorite is the one with Taylor Kinney hands down. I love it.

Oh boy… her pretentious, dead serious life-as-art caricature-self has reared its unself-aware head again.

She’s so much more charming and tolerable when she’s just striking poses for the camera or having fun and channeling Studio 54. It’s when she rears her I'm-art-dahling that I can’t be bothered since her art is just ripping off everyone that’s already done it before-- and done it better. I mean, is she really serious about the whole “making love on a canvas” sh*t, or just trolling? Who does that but caricatures of artists in corny 80s films?

She’s still so predictable and bland.

I'm sorry but Gaga is Cyndi Lauper. Iconic in her own right but only briefly able to maintain superstar status. Cyndi is also hugely talented and won a tony award not too long ago but that doesn't exactly make her relevant. Gaga's best days are behind her but she does have the talent to stick around and not completely go away. V magazine still treating her like its 2010, however, says a lot of their cluelessness.
