This is my favourite collection from PFW so far. It feels so quintessentially Valentino in that it's not remotely ashamed to celebrate beauty and feminity. I love it so much.

The first twenty seconds I honestly thought that youtube had gotten the videos mixed together and I ended up watching an early aughts video by accident. What do you want me to say: NO to cargo pants and NO to miliatry green paired with pastels, NO to droopy sequin tops, NO to sparkly bags that look like something kim Kardashian would have stolen out of Paris' closet back when she was her assistant. I have this weird thing with shorts, I don't like them on neither man nor women, so NO to those too.

The best looks were the ones he copied from Miu Miu F/W 14, I don't even mean it as an insult those looks were really nice and I actually felt like his version was a bit more polished. The eveningwear didn't leave an impression on me, maybe the little black dresses.

Icy mint is a great investment, I want it way more than I need.
And there's rodarte level ugly trash.
Also I was fooled to think his baggy dresses were intentional, but now it's clearly he should hire tailoring consultants.

But lovely I say.

^So i am not the only one seeing Miu Miu F/W 14 ^_^.

I rather enjoyed it. I like Pierpaolo alone at Valentino. It was good seing the show, i think he is very faithful to his vision and has a direction unlike some others :innocent:.

I think the brand has gotten so much better since Maria's exit and that is no coincidence considering the amount of rubbish she has produced for Dior.

He's not reinventing the wheel but it's the first Valentino collection that I've liked in years.

Romantic, lively, well constructed. Easily 1 of the top 5 collections of the season, easily.

Valentino has gotten SO MUCH BETTER without that woman.

wonderful .the bags , i want that rockstud spike bag so bad.

That final gown is gorgeous. That brown and hot pink monstrosity, however, needs to be burned

Outside of some of the polka dotted looks and weird tank top draped dresses, this is a real solid collection.

Really lovely collection, better than his past couple in my opinion. Very lovely dresses; the collection as a whole felt very fresh as well. Bravo!

That asymmetric dress with the ruffle on one shoulder (look 58) is to die for!
Valentino's runways are so much more alive now that Pierpaolo is doing it alone.

I thought it was unapologetically feminine and luxurious and the clothes feel honest, even though not everything works - for every beautiful dress in this collection there seems to be an unflattering tent-like counterpart lol

I also definitely agree that Valentino feels much more alive and authentic without MG's touch. It's less corporate, the clothes are exactly what the customer wants and there are interesting and unexpected details here and there which are clearly a product of experimentation and not deliberate planning. I can appreciate that.

PS. Dying for that Grace Jones mic-feed!
