Valentino Spring/Summer 2005 Couture

Very valentino, nothing really sticks out as especially fabulous. The only things that I really like are the coats and the little suits

Nice but what's wrong with Naomi? She looked pissed, was Tyra Banks there?

gorgeous...just gorgeous...thanks for posting the pics! :flower:

love that coat on eugenia

You know, Galliano can send out all the ridiculous costuming he wants but at the end of the day, it's people like Valentino that are keeping couture alive. I think this collection looks great. Sometimes he's a little too matronly and staid, but this seems fresh and very 'new' to me. The dress on Naomi is so beautiful. Bravo!

Also, the designers at the couture have been toying with a new extended, sinuous silhouette for several seasons now and it has yet to emerge in the mainstream r-t-w. Are long skirts and dresses going to be a trend for fall?

:D, she shouldn't worry about Tyra, nice for catalogues but not a runway girl IMHO.

Love the collection, proves couture doesn't have to look like a stage costume (as at Dior).

i like that picture and that dress...thx melody...and welcome to tfs...:flower:

i couldn't agree more...

i think the whole thing is very elegant and very glamorous...

very valentino...

I completely love it! Really a fantastic collection. But I have to disagree with m-o-m cause Dior might be costumy, it is still haute couture and Valentino is also haute couture. It's just different kinds of haute couture and both wonderfull I think. And in the end we see just as much Dior as we do Valentino or whatother couturehouse on the red carpet and the jetset, so apparently all haute couture is accepted and loved by most people.

Though I like it as I said before, the more I look at it, the more I see stuff I've seen before at Versace, Chanel, Dior and Vuitton

I really like this collection.. Very Valentino, very elegant and classy. I love that old-glam hollywood dress that Melody posted..
