Versace is a house that shoves its code down your throat, each and every season.
I gotta say, we've seen all this before- we are not excited about it, and we get it- you guys launched the supermodel concept. But, like, how many girls can PG cast for one shoot? Keep doing the same moment again, and again.

We need something new.

Now that this is Donatella's last, I would love a coffee table book with her collections or/and ad campaigns. There so many good and legendary imagery in the archives. The cover should be the iconic Versace jungle dress or Amber and Georgina. I saw the movie about Nick Cave, and also I read an interview, and he has framed one of the pictures from that campaign. He loves Steven.

Freja became a Meisel favorite for a year, she got 3 VI covers in 2010/11 (one of them a solo story with Mathias) and 4 eds. Anja made Dsquared2 and Moschino ads. Natasha has 1 US Vogue Cover, the VI anniversary one, and some eds as well. Vlada has none!!! Even Tanya worked with Meisel twice. I don't get why he avoided her, like she was Kendall now. I love Meisel, but not working with some girls like Andreea, Edita (just one campaign I must say), Nadja Bender, Katy Nescher, Karme Pedaru... there's a lot never achived that.

I always thought Tanya was great in print and it was a shame she didn’t get more work

I will also never forgive Donatella for never giving her a campaign

Wow that is really interesting fact I didn't knew, I'd say Natasha's godmother is Carine Roitfeld who gave her two Vogue Paris covers in a row and that was Natasha's first Vogue cover ever by Steven Klein

The eds I remember from VI are January 2009, January 2010, January 2012 (she was quite central there, but weirdly enough, didn't scored the cover). I'm pretty suck for taking back to American Vogue, maybe because never been a huge fan as I'm with Franca's Vogue. But the ones that remember everything can help me.

^learned later Kati got that ad! Glad she did it Edita also scored one campaign with him. As I remember Tatjana Patitz worked once for a cheap looking editorial for US Vogue (and maybe there's something missing from those Lei Magazines I never seen yet). I was so happy when he worked for a while with Karolin Wolter, a favorite of mine. I was like "yas!". Wish he noticed Vivien Solari. She's been here like +25 years and there's no a Meisel photo under her belt.

Out of topic, but I love to go back to the Meiselpedia, hahaha. He avoided so many great models (but the only one I'm happy he refuses to work is Kendall).

Also the group shot what a miss, it could work for an US Vogue editorial but definitely weak compared to the SS18 show when you had the supers, there’s no chemistry between the girls.

I believe Him and his team consistently had an exceptional taste in selecting models to make the most dynamic images. Meisel generally avoids booking models with limited range. That’s why I can understand why he steered clear of models like Vlada, Karmen, and Edita.
