Versace Mens S/S 08 Milan

I think Plokhov's influence is very visible here - in the proportions, the detailing, even to the shapes of the lapels - which is not necessarily a bad thing.

It's a huge improvement for Versace, in any case.

Completely Agree. The little buttoned flaps on the jackets, the white pipeing on the lapels is very plokhov. Even the models seem a bit more waifish then the usual beef cake Versace models.

Love it. I love how classic and elegant it is, that's a refreshing quality in menswear.

Best Cloak--err--"Versace" collection to-date. Loved seeing Jeremy...now if only they cast Ryan Taylor it would be perfect.

Hedi who? Very auspicious beginnings...it'll get even better as long as he keeps it moving, is he really behind the scenes yet?

I really like this collection, it's so classic and elegant. This is a big change from Donatella's past work (remember SS06? :ninja:)
I wish they had some female models in this and casted Ryan Taylor

Wow i love this, such an improvement, even thought it looks a bit too wintery. But I love the white jacket. Very cool

Every S/S08 collection I've seen, except for Jil Sander is very F/W

Im disappointed that theres no female models.....Hilary Rhoda.

To me, with Christoffer Kane consulting for couture and Plokhov for menswear, it seems as if Donatella's role has shifted a little from being primarily the designer of Versace towards global, artistic direction of the house. Tom Ford did the same, having had Alessandra Facchinetti as womenswear designer at Gucci

change this name of thread to VERSACE SS08. its the spring summer collection of 2008
