Vetements F/W 2018.19 Paris

Vetements seems very "last season" now. Thank god they have Balenciaga because this is hopeless.

I think that was a big mistake they had chosen to do that 'look book' last season instead of a show, since the show was a big push for hype. Now this show looks out of place. I dont hate Vetements, I like this 'weird-urban-underground-Paris-energy', but If there is no hype, the is no Vetements, im sorry.

2018 is the last year for the hype of this brand IMO, after this, IDK if is gonna makes sense wear Vetements.

I honestly don't even know where to begin with this mess. This has gotten to the point of borderline offensive / parody. Zoolander's derelicte is the first thing that comes to mind and not in a funny way

Vetements is that kind of brand that can only rely on its hype, according to my taste, so when it loses its hype, nothing remains.

What a tedious looking, pretentious monstrosity of a collection. They're really trying too hard with this cool, DIY, I-don't-care thing. It's not working anymore and it seems the hype is dead too. I cannot what for this phase to be truly over and forgotten.

Do people buy aynthing other than the hoodies at this point? Ever since he took over Balenciaga, where's doing a watered down version of what he does here, the hype for Vetements has definitely died down. Balenciaga is easier to wear and you get bigger recongnition/~style cred as it's an older, more established house.

^ I completely agree with both of you. This is a total mess. I seriously doubt anyone has paid money for anything from the past 3-4 collections. This label should just disappear.

I mean the few looks that are passable were done much better already on his Balenciaga collections, the rest is just trash, I don't even think it's worth commenting it on a critical manner.

I saw these a few days ago and thought about posting it here, I didn't want to be the one who did irreversible damage to the eyesight of my fellow members. Either way we now have something to laugh at, so thanks dodencebt.

After them not doing shows for a little while now, I can’t say they’ve been missed on the calendar.

I think the past shows were on a particular idea--and this has really reached the literal expression of that idea...
It is pretty clear 'it' is the new trend, and the designers have all their own interpretation. Quite surprised as to where it came from? Or maybe better why. I confess I see the appeal (just not with this one)

This is like if you went to every small-town, Sunday afternoon flea market and bought the most hideous pieces of old, tattered clothing you could find, AND THEN PUT THEM ALL ON AT ONCE.

Nope.

Collection looks styled like extras from The Walking Dead. Vetements laughing all the way to the bank.
