When I read the title I guessed it's a reprint from Vogue Nippon and there it was!

I know right?

The picture looks better without the "G" covering her face but Vogue Aus. doesn't seem to pick font colors that go well with the cover image.

The cover is incredibly bad, despite the fact that is a reprint from Vogue Nippon that white background & that text ruin it all. I don´t know how can they made such a bad cover, this must be the worst Vogue AUS I ever seen.

Ooh, Daria! Disappointed to hear it's a reprint though, how old is the original shot? I had my hopes up for a second we'd see her back on the scene!

The white background is rather stark against the black of her outfit. Don't mind bright letters for bright seasons, it's the antipodean summer right now after all!

So far from AUS Vogue is maybe the worst I saw. it's pretty & at least we see her face unobstructed? that's the only thing you can say about the cover? sorry but you didn't convice me with your justification from why you think the opposite as me.

argh, such a waste!!! i don't mind seeing this picture reprinted everywhere, it's so gorgeous and sexy - like everything daria...but, the text and cover design is absolutely hideous (i have never ever used the puke smiley before, but it shall befall upon this beast of a disaster, shame on you Vogue Australia)

I'll make a review quickly, I read it at the airport (delayed flight) and it was boring, I went through it in 1 hour and there's nothing worth reading again

I have the cover right in front of me right now- the almost violent fuschia is not too bad with the lime green actually- it would make the magazine stand out immediately if it was say, on a table or on a magazine rack, and isn't that the purpose? To grab attention?. By only using 3 colours set on white, the cover sort of looks like fresh paint- no mixing of colours and tiring of them.
I don't know about other Vogues, but I find that although it is a bit disappointing that the cover nearly always seems to be taken from another Vogue, Vogue Australia does include some very interesting articles about everyday life; it talks about all sorts of issues. Such as in this issue, there is an article called "Crossing the divide" (words by Joanne Fedler) that talks about how 'even in the most enlightened of post-feminist households some gender roles remain non-negotiable'. I find these articles to be interesting; while admiring the beautiful dresses, clothes and trends,it also stimulates your brain to think about the world you live in.
