I so totally agree with your sentiments YourMonster and MON. A magazine is a business and needs to generate profits so whatever image they present on their covers has to communicate with the public in the a way they will respond positively. A magazine has to be in line with the context of which it exists in. High fashion is all relative!

Vogue Australia is not the type of putting striking covers like Vogue Italia or sexually seductive like Vogue Paris. That cover shot represents what Vogue Australia entirely is. Fresh and original. I do think it`s High fashion just as long as it reflects what the whole magazine is. It would be worse if Vogue Australia tried to rip of VI or VP.

Exactly and thats what I love about Kirsty Clemments as the EIC, she is so consistent at making the Vogue uniquely Australia particularly in regards to the promotion of Australian talents (models & designers) & covers. She is very aware of Vogue Australia & Australia's place within the global fashion community and brings an unpretentious quality/commentary to the magazine. I totally love her & the magazine...

Just skim through the magazine just now. The main ed with Marloes features Kendra too. But I think Kendra outshine Marloes. The ed is really gorgeous.
