Vogue Australia May 2013 : Karlie Kloss by Arthur Elgort

I found it boring cuz I'm tierd of The Great Gatsby's news, that's way too much.

Vogue Australia is finally alive! Although, the cover is simple... it`s still okay. But the eds are pow!

And Gemma isn't "Vogue ready" *rolls eyes*

I think the issue is that Gemma doesn't want to come back (at this moment at least), rather than Vogue - or any other publication - not wanting her.

The Flapper Wears Prada is so fabulous, Miuccias designs for the movie are all perfection and Karlie wears them so well:heart:

I love Karlie, I really do, and the cover is beautiful, and I get the whole model series thing but I just wish wish wish that it was Carey instead. I guess I'm just excited for Gatsby... I'm really quite sad that Carey hasn't got this cover.

The main editorial is very good, i really liked the vibe & Karlie looks so fabulous on these outfitts of the movie.

Thank you for the HQs PinkCouture! That opening shot of 'the magic behind Gatsby' is quite lovely. Reminds me I have to go buy Vogue today...

I was a little disappointed that the "Time To Reflect" editorial didn't actually feature Rosie Tupper instead of Rose Smith. Rosie is stunning and her eds by Nicole Bentley have always been gorgeous. Rose looks nice, but her face feels like it could be a little more expressive.

The cover is lovely, though. Miiiiiiiiiiiles better than Karlie's last VA cover, which was raggedy.

As for the last two model series covers, I'd love for VA to use another model that hasn't had a VA cover before. I heard Daria and Joan mentioned but I think there are plenty of other stunning, well-established models who haven't had a VA cover before (at least one that wasn't a reprint). Sasha, Stammy, Jessica Miller, Bianca Balti, Freja...

Or even Karmen Pedaru...poor girl hasn't even got one original Vogue cover to her name!

I like the concept of the model series, but so far it's been really disappointing.

This is the best in what is a very mediocre bunch. Really hope the next couple are a bit more exciting.

I agree, especially in regards to the covers. I was hoping for something more given that VA has always been great at having top and major models in their editorials so its not too different to what we've seen every month for a while.

For example, it's a tad cliche but it would've been great to have groups of cover models at least or something different for the series.

Perhaps a legends cover of Elle Macpherson, Jenny Hayman, Rachel Hunter, Kylie Bax, Sarah Murdoch, Emma Balfour, Alyssa Sutherland; or another group ft. Abbey Lee, Miranda, Shanina Shaik, Nicole T, Gemma, Jess, Jessica etc ... ; a new faces cover; or even groups of cover girls mixing up all these names and eras by adding in others such as Lisa Serrett & the newer girls grouped by the major Australian model agencies as do V Magazine sometimes.

Obviously it would be a logistical nightmare but that's what would make it a collectors item!

Yeah, perhaps Karmen could keep up the trend of models getting do-overs of their crappy covers from last year.
