Vogue Australia October 2010 : Codie Young by Nicole Bentley

Cool cover BUT it's not even bloody September yet and October is already done and ready for the shops. Insane.

Codie scares me. If it was another model, the cover would have been fine. But everything up above the dress is just not appealing.

Love the cover, but it kinda reminds me of Vogue US October 2005 with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Nice to see that the cover isn't a reprint but still Codie is very expressionless. Like the colours of the cover, though.

Interesting... i loved the cover when i first saw it and didn't at all think it looked dated or heavily inspired by Gemma's era. now that it's been mentioned, though, i definitely see it.. but i don't think it necessarily takes away from this cover, which still looks fresh and unspeakably pretty.. particularly because it's vogue Australia.. whose fashion industry i think is so dominated by the warm climate, beautiful surroundings, laid back attitude etc.. while in north america, for example, it might be a 'trend' to wear florals and long flowy skirts and look like a bohemian wood nymph .. in Australia i feel like we always have that present, almost as a part of the 'culture' (and i use that word lightly).

Maybe i'm just justifying myself because i like the cover.. entirely possible. :p i do see the strong references to the early 2000s but i don't think it makes it dated in this case.. plus i'm still so happy to see vogue australia creating original covers, i don't want to complain too much.

It reminds me of the VI covers around 2003/2004. It's nice. But Codie does scare me.

It's that Miu Miu dress again! I actually like this cover. Very romantic, which is always good in my book. :)

A Love Story with Nicole and Ryan

Now another international issue of Vogue has entered the world of model romances. Nicole Trunfio and her musical boyfriend Ryan Leslie are posing in the October 2010 issue of Vogue Australia, in an elegant black and white shot.

That really remind me that cover with Natalia, but i don't like her face.

kinda cute but AGAIN THIS MIU MIU dress???? Goshhhhh was there nothing else interesting to shoot last season on the runways worldwide???!

Best cover appearance that dress has made - I get a sense of all the different materials it's made from.

And I adore the abundance of flowers, even if the sight of flowers on a cover is somehow years out of date - I don't know what the fashion expiry date of the natural world is, so I haven't got past the stage of appreciating the beauty of roses whenever I see them.

The cover is gorgeous but their is just something off about her face. I laughed at how she's wearing THAT Miu Miu dress... you think they would have scrapped the cover look once it came out how many times its been used so far (three I believe).

They probably wanted the fact that they're using the same dress to be picked up by international media therefore increasing their pretty dismal global profile.

I don't mind the cover, but I feel like the model is interchangeable. Put Rosie Tupper or anyone else in there and it'll feel the same. Actually, Rosie Tupper would probably suit it more. But you know what I mean. Codie Young, 'one to watch and all', doesn't really add anything to it for me. But then again I don't get her hype at all.

this cover is GORGEOUSSS!!!
wow i dont even know who she is but she did it for me

I like it though the fonts have something amateur about them
