Just got the issue. It's not so satisfying but better than the last issue.
The cover is shot by Patrick Demarchelier and Lily wears an outfit from Gucci F/W 07/8.
They change the layout of the magazine a little bit. I just can't tell whether I like it or not, but I will keep looking how VOGUE China is going to change itself. I hope it will turn much better than the last year.
About the editorials, I like Caroline Trentini's best. All about furs(there's another feature article about fur in this issue as well). Han's ed is quite disappointed to me. The styling is not so good, imo. And I can't understand why they used the same outfits that once had been used a few months ago.
Mackenzie's ed is just so-so, not so impressive.
The ed about actress Zhang Jingchu is a big surprise for me! I must say I love it! And in Editor's Letter it is said that VOGUE China will focus on some Chinese celebrities in the following issues.
Also, there are two reprint eds. Raquel and Coco's ed about resort from VOGUE US, and Kate Moss's ed from VOGUE UK December.
I really hope VOGUE China will get better in the new year. But the January cover is just a first disappointment.
