Vogue Germany May 2010 : Victoria Beckham by Alexi Lubomirski

great to see Cato in the Demarchelier ed :woot:

im dissapointed with georgina's editorial. you cant even see her face. all you see is darkness & a nipple. i see no relativity of fashion in the spead. hoping georgina can make a proper comeback.

She seems to do the same pose on every cover of every other magazine, but I can't deny she looks gorgeous here. The whole shoot is great in fact.

Thanks for posting all those Chanelcouture09, so thats how it comes, wrapped up in that? Another question for people who have seen it on the newstand. Is that the actual cover? With her name in orange? Because Helligirl's scan was in white, and it seems they are doing slight variations on covers lately. The one earlier this year with Eva Mendes, was available in b&w, and in colour.

Hippie Yeah is such a gorgeous editorial even if it's shot black and white. what a strong cast.
and VB's edit surprisingly delivers. i love the whole atmosphere, the setting is perfect. i'm glad
they didn't do the usual high glam rich mansion route for this one.

I really want to hate this cover. I do. I don't.

In fact, I'll dare say it's one of Victoria's best covers to date. So the eyebrows won't work for everyone, and surely enough it does feel at the very least somewhat unnecessarily repetitive after Diane Kruger's recent eyebrows-cover, but for me it works, as does the rest of her feature. It's nice to see proper and thought-of use of Victoria's features for a change, not just another randomly styled, uninspired ed that only serves to celebrate her celebrity status and supposedly exceptional style. Rarely has Vicky had as much character as here!

Although at the same time I'm not sure that Victoria Beckham is such a big name in either the entertainment or fashion industry to deserve to have "VOGUE" half-covered with her own name, unusually lovely though her ed and cover shot are.

Honestly, though, I can't remember the last time Victoria had a feature in a magazine that didn't bore me from here to eternity (Elle, Harper's Bazaar and UK Vogue should feel a sting right about here). Now if only it hadn't been called "Queen of Posh". Really.

Not that pleased with any of the remaining contents, though. Nothing strikes me as in the least out of the ordinary.

Ridiculously good issue imo,:woot: nice to see Victoria out of the usual high glam edit, but the real highlights are Cats who looks smokin hot with her red hair and Madgas ed , the styling and setting are just dreamy.:flower:

Loving McNeil's ed. There is something mildly off and darkly humorous about it. Cat's red hair compliments the blue denim perfectly. It is supposed to be slightly unpretty. And Ms Joan Smalls is serving it up in her ed! Well done.

[sry, but I don't know why they're among each other ]

i lv victoria so i am happy to see her on another vogue cover ... but that victoria font across the masthead makes it look like a bad entry in the Vogue Cover Challenge ... hahahhahaah

Elsa's shot blew my mind  Happy to see Magda too, she shines as always ^_^

What a fantastic issue! Lovely to see Victoria on the cover. She looks great and her editorial is even better. Magda's editorial is great aswell and Hippie Yeah! is just a stunning editorial.
