Vogue Italia December 2016 by Bruce Weber

I was expecting this to be a Roversi issue. No eds photographed by him in VI this season? Not even in couture supplement. I hope, he is ok

First cover from other photographer for VI that I can say I love it

'Chill Out' is the name of this cover? I love it! He used to shoot, with Steven Klein, every cover of L'Uomo in the late 90s/ early 2000s, so it's good that Franca gave him an entire issue. I expected Roversi first, but I'm not disapointed with this choice. ^_^

The child-like drawing detail of the dog is quite special, Jean looks decent too... if only they would have kept the same handmade aesthetic for the "a dog is not just for christmas" and not that HORRIBLE stroke from a photoshop brush.

A handwritten font with the same inky aura of the "chill out" would have been perfect, but the digital touch of the brush feels completely out of place from the rest.

I know it's supposed to be a sleepy-time pup - but it looks more like the dog's in a forced marriage.

It's like those trophy wives who marry really old men and pose with him like he's a little baby  like Anna Nicole and Howard Marshall.

These covers try too hard to be "quirky" and "interesting" and "different" and I'm not buying it. Try-hard never looks good in my opinion. Things need to look effortless after all.

Can someone please tell me who is Sasha Lane? She's in every cover/magazine and I checked google, showed me some IMDB results but only one film. never heard of her until last month.

For an actress to book the top four is damn near impossible mainly due to VI. They're only interested in random types like Mia Goth, Eva Mendes, Bosworth, and now Sasha Lane. These girls will probably never book all top four, so it's to really an accomplishment to book VI. I will add that Sasha's cover is truly awful in every sense.

She's the lead actress in andrea arnold's american honey, a critically acclaimed indie that will probably win some awards. Hers is considered one of the breakthrough performances of the year, although i do find it confusing that she's on every magazine - but good for her!

I want that baby cover. So cute. But.. Vogue Italia, really? Really? I mean, really? These 2 covers are more Vogue Italia Dance, and Vogue Bambini respectively!

Vogue Italia is lost.

Crap Bruce Weber is long gone and should not be brought back

So the baby have the best cover so far, I quite like the kimono-style top. It's something different for a high fashion magazine, even if it's too Anne Geddes for my taste. But whose idea was it to photograph the child alone with a dog? Anything could happen within split seconds........

I liked Jean's cover (apart from the hat) cause she's stunning, but the rest is awful.

2016 was Vogue Italia's worst year. Identity crisis is a word that pops into my head.
