Vogue Italia December 2015 by Tim Walker

How can you any of you guys not recognize Kate? Time to get your eyes checked!:judge::lol:

'rebel riders' is great, love the girls cover too, not a fan of Kate's cover though, beauty and the beast...

Fantastic editos ! the covers didn't catch me but now I find what I love in the work of Tim Walker.

i'm super excited for an all tim walker issue, to be honest. it'll be the first VI i buy in ages. and i surprisingly like all the covers, choice-of-clothing aside

And I'll be buying a VI again. Damn this this amazing. Not perfect, as I'm really not into the first cover+editorial and really not into the Beauty and The Beast editorial+cover. But all others are AMAZING. So excited about VI again!

"Meisel who?" indeed! :shifty:

The fourth image of Rebel Riders screams "You can't sit with us!". Love!

Really horrible covers, all of them.

Tim has so lost it for me. What do these covers and editorials say about anything? Just seems so empty.

^^^ All forgettable outtakes. Franca seems to realize how important Steven is to IV, and is so insecure about letting his brand of imageries slip but also wants to desperately hang with the Dazed kids, resulting in these directionless covers.

Having never been impressed with Tim’s work in general, Far Far From Land is not only an awesome Tim shoot, but one of the strongest set of imageries I’ve seen from high fashion in a long time to me. If only there were more of this type of imageries from him— instead of the Alice in Wonderland/ Nutcracker meets Surrealist lost-in-a-dream template he keeps on chugging out. So Daze-wannabe with Tim at the helm is such a boring mess to me… everything I never want IV to ever become.

The other four covers are a lot better than the first one. Especially the one with Jamie. Kate looks a bit like Ola Rudnicka on her cover.

The editorials however, are really stunning. Especially Rebel Riders.

I love everything! I really appreciate Tim Walker's details & efforts on creating amazing set designs and full-length photography. I'm so tired of seeing closeups of model's faces & all these minimalisms we've been seeing in fashion editorials nowadays.

The main problem with creating more editorials like the one you mention is coincidence. That editorial had several things working for its greatness, many behind Walker's choice.

First you have an amazing out of this world model willing to do ANYTHING for the perfect shot. And besides McMenamy I only know two models capable of that: MariaCarla Boscono and Guinevere Van Seenus.

Then you had an available location, $$$$$ and objects to play with. It is not like everytime anywhere you have those things available.

And finally... The styling. He has to work with the styling he is given and the stories have to play well with both styling and model. And that is difficult, more difficult than most seem to believe. If by the time he did that "mermaid themed" shoot he only had colorful collection things would have been quite different. Designers aren't making it easy for both photographers and stylists to create something beautiful and new/fresh.

I saw Kate cover on instagram and I got excited, seeing details of their work here its just an ok editorial.

Something about seeing Karen Elson isn't shot my Meisel for the cover makes me sad ... but forward thinking isn't bad, I like what I saw so far.

The other covers are fine, the issue is amazing. Much better than the October's.

I love all these covers, they're striking and exciting. I don't really care if it's not Meisel anymore, I love Tim and his work!!!
