Vogue Italia December 2015 by Tim Walker

Wow, I'm surprised by how many good points tfsers made in this thread. I agree with the one saying that Vogue Italia was Meisel. I can't stand him sometimes, he has been beyond uninspired for many tine now and most of his covers this year are not much better than this, but Meisel had a vision, he was a leader and he was Vogue Italia. I only bought it because of the main ed. The rest was rubbish. And now the main eds are crap too.

I've said it multiple times, but I do think most of Vogue editors are too old for running a magazine in 2015. They are out of touch. And they've been in their posts for decades... And funny how they always say at the end of the shows that 'fashion is all about change'. OK, apply it to you!! Go away and let someone fresher take your position.

And multiple covers again... I caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan't.

The model is stunning but the styling is horrific

Guillaume, thats actually made for advertisers rather than readers- you can show another cover with advertiserts credit on it to show the good PR ROI, and since covers are printed separately from the issue itself - you`re not even missing money from it. ANd for selling it better too, but thats secondarily
:P

OOOOOOOH ! :shock::bunny:
That actually makes much more sense !!

The monkey covering his eyes emoji on the jacket sums it up.

I'm expecting a more Christmas dazzling/chic feel for December but this is something for October, What the deuce?!?!? I'm not getting anything striking with this cover. VI is losing it's artistic DNA, Meisel needs to take full charge again. Also, would love to see Isabeli Fontana or Trish Goff instead.

this looks like what m&m should have done for the youth issue

I can imagine if I'm a 15 year old kid seeing this, I'm willing to pick this up. New thing doesn't equal bad stuff.

her face is stunning, but im not feeling this image as a cover.
I would hope for something more dynamic

Finally, a GOOD photographer and not some overhyped photoshop junky.

Not in love with the cover, thou. Not feeling the lettering and the styling. Although I can see by the colour/style that this is Tim Walker, the object and the styling is more like the new photographers working with i-D. Wish it was a truly dreamy Tim Walker production.

this only proves that the magazine is worth nothing without meisel. no direction whatsoever.

Lol, apparently VI loves the youth thing. I think the model looks great, but GOD, that jacket...
I want to see the others covers.

Indeed it feels so i-D ! Howecer I like Walker's work, I'm very curious about the pictures inside.

Good going for Adwoa landing a VI cover, shame about the result, what is it with VI following the likes of dazed or I-d and going after the 'youth' vote these days. ^ Creative is spot on, most if not all of the Vogue EIC are completely out of touch, they've been in their roles far too long and are still playing by the same rules as they were when they started. And sorry but that emoji jacket needs to be burnt. I am actually looking forward to seeing the other covers though, things can only get better, right?

This magazine is dead. You can't turn back time. It's dead.

Nice cover, i'm glad than Walker shot this. Hope than him give covers in the future.

Well the girl is beautiful, but that's about it.
The pose is so affected and stiff.
Is this the new trend in modelling?
Like a few years back when all models were doing that grotesque 'Hunchback of Notre-Dame' pose.
Models looking as artificial and stiff as possible?
I can't get on board with that.

Adwoa is one of the very few daughters of nepotism I will fully support. She looks beautiful  and again I'm always up for a Meisel-free Vogue Italia

She's so beautiful. The combination of the multicolored masthead and the jacket is such a mess though. If they want to appeal to a younger audience, why not hire an up-and-coming photographer instead of the same old "boys' club" of fashion photography?

What has happened to Vogue Italia? It's like an identity crisis in full blown effect as Meisel now just dips his fingers into doing the cover every other month now. Walker's work is beautiful but from the first cover it's worrying me and that jacket should've never been in production. VI had the opportunity to create a masterpiece of a cover with Walker's imagery, lets hope the others fare better. I miss you Meisel !
