I like it but i really don't care, nothing feels fresh. I really hope that this magazine is not ditching Meisel forever..

so good to see Coco back in VI. The prayers of myself and a few others who were only recently complaining about her lack of work in top magazines have been answered! Yes, Madonna in her current form is perhaps a little dull and repetitive, but i'd much rather an icon, maybe the ultimate icon, on such a special issue over the offspring of some overrated actor or an anonymous european model. By using Madonna, the magazine gives relevance and context to the warhol influence. Here is a literal warhol muse, it would lose its impact completely if it was jayden smith or some teenage model. Only recently i was looking through an old issue of Dazed where Madonna was also shot Klein in like a boxing style shoot, how i miss her look from then, she looked so toned and angular and i miss the icy blonde hair.

Whoa, not familiar with David Dunan's work... Am in love with his edit.

The first Vogue Italia I ever saw had Madonna on the cover, so the idea that she's also on the last ever issue under Franca feels like the opening and closing of a chapter for me, in a personal way.

Absolutely LOVE this cover and the main editorial. Such a great cast and I'm a sucker for Klein, always have and always will.

This issue is a absoluty amazing, nice to see Madonna as the cover girl & the casting is great, Bridget, Guinevere, Erin, Rachel, etc... Sadly that is the final issue of Franca.

I heard that after this, the magazine will be redesigned. I will miss Franca's aesthetic, even the date part up in the corner of every cover.

On the one hand the graphic design of vi is iconic and different from every other magazines, on the other hand I've always felt it was dated. The fonts were really dated and the inside layout was't fresh.

I just hope they're not gonna to f**k it up.

As much as I'm no fan of Madonna's lately, I was pleased the store I order Italian Vogue with received the cover I liked best from #1! I also must confess that the cover itself doesn't look half-bad in real - I do like the vintage feel of the cover, with the black background, the Polaroid setup and gold Vogue masthead.

I must admit people, this cover is so much more striking in person. The darkness and collage effect actually draws you in despite the ugly teeth. And the long edit was done right, imo. Not too much Madonna, a line-up of exceptionally good models, and OMG Guinevere Van Seenus and Coco Rocha!! These girls really brought it.
The only irk for me, oddly enough, was Dilone who I normally love to bits. Carlyne Cerf Du Dudzeele and her crazy obsession with afros seems really intent on pushing for Dilone. First Elle France, now this. Sorry, but her casting in this edit made no sense. She looked very much out of place next to the positively garish looking girls.

Anyone has the other three covers in HQ?

^^^ Yes.

Best swansong of any Vogue in history.

Madonna and the entire cast of the Pola edit, Wahol, Steven Klein. The ferocity, the decadence, the attitude, the individuality, the irreverence. A strong, distinct tidal direction in high fashion. It’s the proud encapsulation of an era.

The cold corporate and timid wallpaper cover of the March issue with not a hint of personality…. Another defining point of an era. And a crap one at that.
