All the special issues were made it with Franca's permission, she gave the opportunity to other photographers to take her helm as guest editors (as Testino did for many editions of Vogue around the world). Last year she was ill, and we didn't know it. Everyone thought that she was angry with Meisel, but she was fighting for her life. That's the true story

OMG!!! I haven't been a fan of any of Madonna's recent covers, but this by Klein is AMAZING!! The first cover I hope I can get here in the US but I'll take the second cover and pray I don't see that nasty diamond grill cover.

Beautiful editorial...

terrible, terrible, cover. Madonna needs to get it together. I get that she's enjoying her age and all, but girl, give the cover to someone else (a model who's far more deserving) if all you'll do is to show us the same pose and facial expression you've done in a gazillion other magazines. It's just not funny anymore.

But I'll buy this since this is the last Franca editorial

Is it just me or I don't see Madonna in main editorial? Just in Beauty in Vogue. I bet Madonna was shot just for BiV, but then Franca passed away. And maybe they decided to give Madonna the main cover since it's last Franca's issue. People here are saying she loved Madonna. So I'm OK with that.

But daaamn just imagine how the cover would look like with one of the pics in post #64!

You honestly believe that? In all of my time following Madonna's career, Ive never seen her do a photoshoot without being on the main cover of any magazine, especially to just be on the cover of a supplement...
