There is absolutely nothing original, definitive nor commanding about the content.

What does this magazine stand for? What exactly is the new EIC's vision?

Nothing here sets this new VOGUE Italia apart from countless other fashion magazine options already out there. Same old sh!t from Klein, Wilson, Madonna. Despite there being different stylists for each shoot the the images all blur together.

Warhol! Goude! Reid! Klein doing Klein doing Klein. The new CD trolled images circulating on tumblr for the past 6 years for visual inspiration. This already looks dated.

Farneti has managed to combine the desperation, stereotypical banality of both lackluster men's and woman's fashion concepts and rolled into one ugly magazine!

When Dunan's Suggestions editorial is more Vogue Italia than the main editorial itself - that cover would fit into the early 00s covers by Meisel!

I would have handed the cover to David Duncan without questions asked. Those studio portraits are beautiful! I agree ^ it reminds me of classic Italia.

Is making a black girl blacker considered "blackface"? I think so

This was Franca´s last issue.

Some really great pictures in that Klein ed. A little bit demodé, yes, but who cares. Love the black make up with the red eyes...

Btw, it was really creepy to see Madonna in the cover posted in page #6 acting like a rebel teenager when she's around 60. :ninja:

I love the covers!

Madonna invented Steven, they created that vamp/sl*tty/dark look since 2002 that every newbie and pop star want to recreate on every magazine.

Madonna does not need new looks, she has worked with Arianne Phillips for ages, and she’s an expertise in fashion and editorial.

So every time Madonna/Klein/Arianne/Lecompte/VisionAaron whole crew together for a fashion editorial nailed it all time. Nobody can beat them.

For someone who has been the queen of reinvention for 3 decades, why suddenly she shouldn't change her look.
I don't buy the Arianne Phillips thing as during this decade alone, they have changed her look many times.

But i believe that you're a die hard fan judging by your Steven Klein comment..."Madonna invented Steven":rolleye::rolleye:

So many stars learned how to reinvent themselves from Madonna but times have changed. Constantly changing images comes across a little desperate at the moment. I guess she wants to stick to her strong dominatrix image because she believes that's what women need right now, portraying a strong and unapologetic image. I would love to see her do something different despite the fact that I like one of the covers + the beauty cover a lot.

The cast in Klein's edit is spectacular!! Karolina, Coco, Bridget, Erin! It's just awesome to see these models back in Vogue Italia.

So happy to see Hannelore Knuts in VI again! I wish she and Guinevere were on the cover instead.
