Vogue Italia January 2009 : Anna Selezneva, Anna Maria J & Viktoriya by Steven Meisel

Love this cover. It's strong and dynamic.

I hate to get on my soapbox but dear god I couldn't be more tired of the negative Anna S. comments that attempt to insult her by comparing her to a transsexual and/or drag queen. So stale. Strong features =/= masculine and masculine features on woman are NOT a detriment. If anything having a bit of an edge to ones face, a little bit of the boyish is a plus - androgyny is sexy, it's eye-catching.

Then again if the worst people can do is compare you to arguably the most ferocious subset of the population then maybe it should just be taken as a compliment.

Also I cannot believe were not talking about the Zaha Hadid :judge: Another fashion meets architecture collaboration and the year isn't even a month old yet. Buildings are the new paintings it seems...

I don't like the cover but the ed is really interesting.

the cover and the ed are great:woot:, the only thing i don't like is the vogue title in this white, semi-transparent box

The cover isn't my favorite, but the editorial is really beautiful...the styling is absolutely incredible.

Are they wearing Gucci on the cover?

Looove the cover! Anna looks stunning :woot:, and I like the transparent title.

Ed is great too! It's eye catching and different, and incorporating architecture in it makes it very interesting to me ^_^

I just love this cover, its so great!
I love the colours and the title, and Anna definitely looks amazing!

WOOOOOOOOOOOW :woot::woot::woot: i absolutely adore the cover and the story as well! Great start of 2009! Love the cast, makeup, styling the colours - simply everything even the boringness of the story :). It could only be better if anna j or viktoryia would be in centre instead of anna s - i love her though.

And great to see Natasha working with Meisel. Its her premiere if i am not mistaken. If somebody get get any model to Meisel than its definitely Louie@Women.

^It's not her premiere, Meisel already worked with her in 2005.

yeah, she got this thing going after chanel did that art thing together with her. now she is in vogue!

I like anna s in this story and cover.

It's funny how boring I find the cover... it wants to be so 'now' and yet it looks very old and bland. Maybe it's the models; of the three I only like Viktoriya in general, but here her expression is so ridiculously strained and overkill.:lol:

love the muted colors and the cover, it's very classic Vogue Italia

Viktoriya looks so pretty, even prettier than the other two imo.

I don't really like the cover or the ed to be honest. But thanks for posting.

same, they're both INCREDIBLY boring to me...i almost had to wake myself up after looking at this thread :judge:

what's with the caps? the background color is boring, as is the clothes. why not put sessilee on the cover. i'm so tired of this phase meisel is going through.

Zaha Hadid! Yet another reason for an architecture student to buy Vogue :) I saw a lot of the stuff at the Biennale in Venice this year. So lucky that I'm flying tomorrow, so I can buy it at the airport. I like the colouring and the model selection, I don't find it that boring, it's clean.
