Vogue Italia January 2020 : The ‘No Photoshoot’ Issue

LOL this is all too hilarious. I mean, there are a few lovely portraits mixed in with the mess...but this is a fashion magazine for crying out loud! I don't buy Vogue Italia to see this. This makes me miss Franca so much...

I don't know if I should be crying or laughing. It's sad to see Franca's vision is run to the ground by an egomaniac pretentious talentless editor.

Nice to see that publications would rather use their platforms to speak on environmental issues for profit/personal gain than to genuinely spread awareness & offer viable solutions. This is crazy. Crazier to think the title of this thread is the “No Photoshoot Issue” yet theres a whole PHOTOGRAPHED and printed editorial in the issue. Can’t wait to check back next month and see how Farneti will save the world next.

Whoever had this idea of drawn covers should be in jail, this is NOT why I subscribed to Vogue Italia.

This has just further solidified my decision to gave up on Vogue Italia. Well, I already did when Franca left us.

I can only imagine how she would react to this drawn cover/no photoshoot issue mess.

Gone are the days when I would see 'Vogue Italia (Month and year:( (Insert Supermodel) by Steven Meisel'. Even if the main editorial was shot in a studio. I would take it over this crap.

Wow I've seen so much praise for the covers on Instagram and LinkedIn. It's sad how people are eating this up...

People will eat up anything that's labeled as sustainable and woke. It's the new trend, all the cool kids have to be social justice warriors and plant trees through their Instagrams. That's how we do things now, it's pathetic.

Seeing them all together looks like a student art show. Not a single one is impressive. A cover of Vogue is really is not the place for this kind of art. I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be the worst selling issue of the year.

Amazed also, especially after just seeing this issue with a current bid of £22 on eBay!

The one with Lindsey Wixon on the cover illustrated by the Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano is the most demanded one. I saw several sites raised the price higher for this cover.

I am also surprised how hyped this issue is getting. In an online news agent where I usually get my fashion magazines, they have over 260 orders of this issue! Unbelievable. You should know for a normal month, their sales of Vogue Italia is single digit.

I knew the Amano cover would make the most hype (and I want to get that one as well!) Guess many Final Fantasy fans want a copy. After all, his art of Lindsey looks like he just painted Terra.
