Vogue Italia October 2009 : Rianne ten Haken & Karlie Kloss by Steven Meisel

The only thing I like about the cover is the fact Karlie is on it.:ermm::blink:

It was great...seems we haven't seen those dressed-on people for several issues, finally I found models at least have something shroud their bodies...
BTW..why not rianne and iris???I don't like karlie..

How tragically ironic that they put the caption "Stylish Women" next to those two Rio ****** brothel workers who are posing as models!

Although I like the humour that Vogue Italia covers have shown in recent months. That sly dig at overheated fashion commentary with "plastic is the new black" in June's issue, the rustic farce of the September cover, which reminded me of the novel Tom Jones - and now this.

I agree. Everything seems a bit satirical and upside down at VI as of late. It's like the editors are making fun of US, god forbid ! With everything in fashion currently centering around the internet age and the presence of bloggers, editors must feel threatened and a bit annoyed, so maybe this is their way of ridiculing all of us and the state of fashion as a whole? I do appreciate the humor and the intellectualness of it all, but I just find the covers to be totally irrelevant and random (but that is part of the whole point, isn't it ?). I guess I am just not in tune with VI's aesthetic and I am more about clothes over concept-- most of the time, at least. Still, lately, at VI, NOTHING has been expected and the concepts are always insanely off-the-wall, which is never a bad thing. If any magazine is taking risks now, it is definitely VI.

Love the shot of Rianne with the Egyptian headpiece.

looks a bit like sept 2003 meisel story in vogue it

i have no image of this in my mind.
what it looks like ?

abt Simon. I love him. But definitely do not fit that sort of editorial. he looks so trash there !

could ppl who love this explain ? coz it seems i'm missing the clue there and would love to - at least - understand. coz it seems there's something. and i'm really not noticing it.

While the internet may have facilitated a lot of things, the worth of the content that can be accessed is up to individual interpretation.

I noticed in Vanity Fair today, one page had printed some Twitter responses from people - nothing against Twitter, but that's not what I want to read in a magazine.

igree ASF very repetitive Meisel this time

I think the cover is one of the best cover of the magazine!
I really love it and Rianne is back I am so glad. I always loved her !
